History Park of Punta Gorda - Sunday Market - Farmers' market in Punta Gorda - 501 Shreve St, USA

I was very pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the park with all the tropical foliage. As a Master Gardener I was in total bliss and vaulted further into complete ecstasy when I toured the community garden! I gasped in awe and my mouth dropped open at the splendor of all the different ways people had worked out to fit a lot of vegetables in a small space. I talked to some nice people and was so impressed by the area that I plan to move there as soon as possible. I couldn’t be more happy with this area near the beach and beautiful city and pleasant people in a quality atmosphere. I’ve been all over Florida in my more than 50 years here and this area is right on top for a place to be.

The History Park of Punta Gorda was the host for the 25th Annual Florida Frontier Days. Hundreds of school kids stepped back into Florida History and enjoyed candle making, butter churning; "old timey" games and dozens of exhibits!

Beautiful park, huge community garden, 4 historic homes that have been relocated here to be preserved. Great little park with beautiful variety of plants.

Beautiful gardens! None of the houses or the little store were were open but the grounds were beautiful!

beautiful park! they have the old punta gorda mail cell out back which is really cool! not a lot of area to walk but it’s very cute and has old building! definitely worth the trip

So much history,all the houses that were moved from downtown now sit in picturesque Punta Gorda.

Super cute little Jewelry Shop in historic little white house. Nice jewelry mix including sterling. Shop sign shows Open Wednesday through Sunday. Visited on Sunday. Bonus: The Sunday Market was there during the park visit....mix of vendors vintage, some antiques, modern goods, artist, fruit/veggie stand..etc Fun to walk along the brick path and shop outside.
