Diane was amazing and the location was perfect, very New Orleans vibes. Perfect spot for a fun birthday weekend very quiet and the pizza shop next door was amazing we ate there twice! The mozzarella sticks were the best we’ve ever had! Free street parking and trolley right across the street. Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!
It depends on what you are looking for in a stay. Thai is a very simple room. It’s located in a safe, clean area. It’s off of MLK and St Charles. The room was very clean and it’s quiet. There’s a balcony available to sit and enjoy your coffee and people watch. The trolley picks up right in front and will take you all the way to the French quarter for $1.25 a person! It also has a route back to the Inn. The front desk person responds quickly via text but we didn’t really need anything other than knowing where to park. It’s basically just a room and not any amenities but perfect for what we needed. Would definitely recommend if you are just needing a place to sleep but will be out and about all day enjoying the area.
Very nice location, walking distance to many places all over orleans, streetcar outside the house let's you ride unlimited anywhere within 24hrs for $3. Rooms are clean and very spacious, no washcloths or breakfast but as much coffee as you can drink, smoking area and access to great free parking.
We booked a premium king room months ago. Upon checking in, we were told our room was double booked so we were downgraded to a queen room. The room was tiny, had black mold on the bathroom ceiling (which my husband washed off with a towel before I could take a picture,) and possibly on the bedroom wall (it was near the ceiling, so hard to tell what it was) , and smelled moldy/musty. The location of the room was horrible;we could literally hear everyone coming/going from the side entrance. We also heard a lot of street traffic. Supposedly we're getting some money back, but so far nothing. Also, nothing seemed incredibly historic about the hotel. It was just a basic white room. No drinking glasses, no microwave, a tiny dorm fridge, no hair dryer.
Great updated room!! Perfect except no wash cloths and no breakfast. Good coffee but only powdered creamer. Great location. Trolley was right out front. $.80 for senior all day fare and they go everywhere!! Bourbon Street , French Quarter, old cemeteries. Etc.
Very nice room and Inn. The pillows were fantastic to sleep on. It is a small room with no breakfast, but if you just need a nice comfortable place to sleep, this is it. We would return if we go back to New Orleans
Excellent amenities. No one at front desk and no breakfast. Coffee was available. Close to many great restaurants and trolley car is right across the street. Loved it!!
Positive: The location was great! Right on the St Charles streetcar line, very convenient to get anywhere in the city! Negative: I never met a staff person until my third day there. The room was dark, as the window looked out at a brick wall. It was clean, and adequate, but boring and bland. Negative: ""
