This was an interesting find while out driving the area. Didn't have much time to work with, but the people staffed there was more than willing to take us through a tour and explain everything. I would have liked to do it. We did walk around for a few exploring the site. I would really have like to see the sawmill in operations.

I’ve come multiple times. Wonderful place to learn about some of the rich religious history of Ohio. Free guided tours with kind knowledgeable volunteer staff. Kid friendly, but it is easier if your children are old enough that they will mind you not to touch the antiques that are in almost every structure and can listen to the tour guides. We’ve done it wrestling toddlers before, and it’s possible. The tour guides can give shorter explanations that are kid attention levels if needed. There are many buildings to walk in and see. Don’t miss driving up the hill afterwards to see the Kirtland temple and Joseph Smith home too. (The seasonal interior temple tours do have a small $10 admission fee that I think helps with temple preservation). Take a walk through the beautiful historic cemetery. Around Christmas they do a large nativity display that is definitely worth seeing! If you have questions or need accommodations don’t hesitate to call them. They have been very helpful when I have questions about planning our trips.

It was so spiritual and clean. The movies I saw were superb. It was fun learning about the saw mill. I love the fact that I was were my prophet Joseph Smith was at it made it real to me. I know that he saw our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and was instructed to reorganize Jesus's church... I am a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

I come to see the multitude of nativities they put up every Christmas Season. Such a wonderful variety to view They are from many countries. They also offer tours of the grounds the old store and the mill. Nice people and willing to discuss the church or just a fun conversation.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has done an amazing job keeping this site in good repair. It is amazing to hear about the past, and see Joseph Smith's legacy. Very spiritual. Learned a lot!!

Went to see the Nativaties that were set up. Over 400 on display, with over 1000 in storage. The guides are members of the church and were so well versed on every piece. They change the displays every year. The pieces were so beautiful, from all over the world. I can't wait to go back and see the displays next year

Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and kind. Plan to spend about 2 hours here. Also, there are picnic tables for use next to the parking lot. The tour itself takes you through all the different buildings.

Loved the history and what happened here. Elder and Sister Davis were so kind, eager to answer all our questions, and tried to taylor the visit to our interests.
