We had a great experience in a charming and well-maintained historical setting, the Governor Calvert House. It's a wonderful location, with easy walks to just about everything we could possibly need. The room was well appointed, quiet and spacious. we appreciated the coffee service and found the king-sized bed very comfortable. the access to the other buildings was nice, but we were not able to locate the gym facility at the Maryland Inn. it would be helpful to have a sign there. Luckily we got plenty of exercise on our many walks through the charming town. there was a wedding over the weekend, which added some action to our stay but was not very intrusive. Parking was a little tricky, but we managed to find spots in the area. overall we really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.

My wife and I decided to take a 2 hour drive to Maryland for a change of scenery. We booked our stay last minute, and everything was great. The hotel staff were super friendly and available when needed. The front desk attendant Anya was a joy. The hotel was clean and rich with history. The location was perfect, as we were able to use the valet service and then walk on foot through town and to dinner/breakfast. Really great stay and would recommend to anyone.

Top notch from beginning to end from the booking to their follow up after stay. There are three properties in total to the Historic Inns and they're all exquisitely decorated in quality textiles and comfort while maintaining the true charm and history to these properties. We're absolutely in love!!!

Very nice experience at Maryland Inn. Celebrated anniversary there. Staff noted and had wine and small pastries in room waiting for us. Room small, but comfortable in colonial era building. Very clean. Window heating unit noisy for sleeping. Centralized parking at check-in a challenge. Staff very friendly, supportive, and welcoming. Thank you, Maryland Inn!

We got married there last year and stayed for our first anniversary this past weekend. Tyler helped us book and treated us very well with an upgraded suite. We had the absolutely best wedding day there thanks to Ashley and the best anniversary thanks to Tyler. I would highly recommend the Historic Inns of Annapolis, they have treated us so well and we always have a wonderful experience!

Pros: Cool, unique historical building. Updated inside with elevators and nice rooms without losing the feel of the historic-ness. They do have a glass floor with original foundation that you can walk on and look at in the lobby area. Very friendly valet and front desk staff and check in was a breeze. Clean room. Comfy king bed. Centrally located next to the State House and walking distance to so many shops and restaurants!||Cons: Parking is extremely limited and timed hourly on the street. Valet is $35/night. The new app they have doesn’t work quite right yet, so don’t rely on that to check in. Kind of a weird thing, but the room we were in had an extremely tiny toilet, like low to the ground and tight fit in between the wall and sink. ||Ratings: Would definitely book again.

Stayed one night in the Historic Inn Governor Calvert. A very comfortable stay in a large room with king bed. Welcome Chardonny bottle appreciated. Lovely decorations for the Christmas season. Very friendly staff. Parked at the visitor center, short walk. The town is ready for the holiday season.

Positive: Location was fantastic. Staff was very helpful. I met staff who was the building engineer, and he literally ran to open the door when I had my hands full. It was clear it took pride in his job and the building condition reflected that. Negative: The valet area was very tight, BUT it is right on the historic square, so nothing can be done about that. The valets were very aware of the space issues and were quick to move vehicles.
