We went to The Strawberry Fest 🍓 It was such a cute, quaint little town. We enjoyed all of the shops, especially The Irish Boutique ☘️ The weather was perfect ! The live music was fun . And the Strawberry kabobs were delicious !
We enjoyed our time in Long Grove. A nice place to have a stroll around the historic town. Unfortunately a fair amount of shops were closed and it was a weekend day.
At Christmas time, this town looks like it is from a Hallmark movie. There are Caroling, Santa, and carriage rides. Also, nice coffee shops, candy shops, and much more.
The Long Grove businesses that are still open are great. I wish more businesses would come back in. It's such a lovely area.
It's lovely! It's quaint. Makes you feel like you stepped back in time. They do hold a lot of events and festivals here but this is literally the only suburb that does not accommodate bathrooms (which is a bad idea when you have a bunch of tourists chugging on the beer they're always selling at their events). If it weren't for the restroom issue, this would easily be a 5-star experience!
Not many stores or restaurants open on a summer Wednesday afternoon😩 Irish store, chocolate/popcorn store and Covered Bridge Creamery (original location of Gloria Jeans Coffee) got a great iced Oatmeal Cookie Latte (coffee, oatmilk & brown sugar) YUM!
Had a great time on antique tractor hay ride through the old longgrove down town..i wish it would come back like it was in the 1980"s.
Lovely town with shops eager to serve you. The Strawberry Fest was nice, although I was surprised to find more drinks and products made of strawberries than the actual fruit. I did pick up a few pints.

This is such a cute little cafe in downtown long grove. I love the location with plenty of parking, and nice views. The owner is super nice and takes great care of all his customers. They have great variety of breakfast items, coffee and smoothies.
Nice crushed gravel trails, 1 1/2 mile loop, clean, plenty of parking and bathrooms! Our family loves walking and running here, kids used to love the park when they were younger.
