I just photographed a wedding here this past Sunday and it was so beautiful. The venue is spectacular. It is gorgeous inside and also spacious. Stephanie and Charlyn are also wonderful to work with! There are a lot of great venues out there, but this is one of my absolute favorites! So much so that my husband and I are having our wedding reception here this December and we can't wait :)
My husband and I just had our wedding here and we are SO glad we did! Charlyn and Stephanie are wonderful to work with! They both had amazing communication before the wedding and afterwards. They are so kind and welcoming. The Cathedral Barn is absolutely beautiful. We had a winter/Christmas-y wedding, and all the lights and candles looked so beautiful in the barn. Many of our guests complimented the venue. 10/10 recommend!
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Cathedral Barn. We looked at multiple venues in the area and Cathedral Barn was our top choice due to natural beauty of the venue, great support from the management team, reasonable cost compared to other venues, and a great location. We rented the tables and chairs from the venue and used their bar which was really convenient. The venue manager, Stephanie, and her team were incredible support for our family as we planned and decorated the reception ourselves. They did a great job communicating with all of our chosen vendors to ensure a smooth, well organized day. The venue was beautiful and spacious with the string lights already being in the barn. There are a lot of pretty places around the barn to take photos such as the pollinator garden and overlooking the barn. I’d highly recommend that you get married and/or have your reception here! It was our perfect day!
Absolutely beautiful inside! If you're a history buff, you'll be in heaven. Parking was a little confusing on my 1st trip. Great place for a large party like a wedding.
The Cathedral Barn is one of the most stunning outdoor wedding venues in Michigan. As a photographer, the grounds made amazing backdrops for my portraits with the couple. If you are looking for a stunning outdoor venue look no further. I highly recommend this amazing Michigan wedding venue!
I am a wedding planner in the area and the historical cathedral barn was my first choice. It is absolutely beautiful! Not to mention, the event manager Stephanie is AWESOME! She is so great to work with and I highly recommend this venue. Thank you so much!
The Cathedral Barn is a beautiful venue, surrounded by natural woods and the botanical garden. Stephanie was very responsive and helpful with planning prior to our wedding. She was quick to answer all our questions, easily coordinated with our other vendors, and made sure we had the ideal setup for our reception. It ended up being too cold for the outdoor ceremony we had wanted, but Kayla and the rest of the staff were able to adjust for an indoor wedding no problem. They were helpful, supportive, and overall great people. The venue is beautiful, and the staff is outstanding. You will not be disappointed if you have your special day at the Cathedral Barn!
The fairy trail is absolutely gorgeous. My kids had a blast visiting the butterfly garden. My daughter was thrilled when she got to leave the fairies a house.

I only went to one area to fish and float around on an Inner tube with my dog. There is a lot of seaweed where I was but on the other side I saw a lot of kids playing in the water so it was probably clear . I like that they have tables and grills fo
This park is beautiful... At first the park looks like it might be okay if the hotel property but it isn't.. This does mean it is usually less busy though bc many people see it and think it is private property .. There is a nice playground and tons o
Nice park along the Boardman Lake. There are plenty tables and benches and small pavilion at one end. The Boardman Lake trail goes through the park. At the north end there's a boat launch and a platform for fishing. I saw two people fishing when I vi
