I have been a time share owner at Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort since 2011. I have been happy with my location but never the service we were promised. Several times one our reservation we were told the room was not available and we were sent to a different “motel”.
This week was our first stay since Hilton took it over. I am one happy member now. Great service, very clean, great rooms.
We are so happy to be time share owners with Hilton. Keep up the great work.
This hotel is within walking distance to so many dining and activity spots which was the best part. During the holiday season our room was almost $1000 a night and for what we got it was not worth it. We called for room service 3 different times, and each day nobody showed up. At the minimum we just had to keep calling to ask them for more supplies and fresh towels. I’m sure for that price there are better hotel spots in the area.
Brand new bathroom looked nice; however the tape that was holding the carpet down and together as soon as you walked into the room was extremely disappointing.
Hotel location was ideal and access to the lake & beach behind it was great for our kids.
Parking across the super busy main road was less than ideal especially with small children in tow, but the shuttle made it doable in the rain and dark.
People were parked in 5 minute parking all day long since nobody was enforcing it.
The rooms are OK. All the lights are florescent making the entire room the oposite of cozy. The pillows are incredibly thin and that’s the best part of this hotel. Then there is the service.
Absolutely incompetent. We asked to be booked next to our friends far in advance and they confirmed multiple times. They managed to mess that up. When we asked them to fix it they wouldn’t take accountability and instead of making things right tried to pitch us their time share services so we could get a gift card as a sorry.
We asked our room to be cleaned two days in a row. Failed. Called to ask for it. Once again the staff says sorry it wasn’t me. 0 accountability or initiative to make the experience right.
Good location though.
Stay here and hope everything goes smooth.
Great place to stay! Right on the lake and centrally located near a lot of attractions and restaurants. Rooms were apartment style which was nice. We got a two bedroom, living room, full kitchen set up and it was very spacious and cozy. Decent game room downstairs, though hopefully they add to and upgrade that area.
One of the BEST hotels that I ever stayed at. The rooms are so clean. It smells really nice. It might be a bit small but the quality of the room is just amazing.
Service is also excellent. I'm not going to say it's the best but there's nothing to complain about.
There are so many things to do inside the hotel that it makes us feel at home and comfortable.
The location is also great since it is near the shops and also near the actual Lake. Looking forward to staying here once again.
I wouldn't stay here again. Ridiculous resort fees and contrary to the description in the profile, self parking costs $22 per night. I'm a Hilton Diamond member and there are zero benefits or recognition. Rooms are mediocre and dusty (my allergies went crazy). Even though check-in is listed as 4pm they tried to tell me my room wouldn't be ready til 4:30 and I had to request to be switched to another room that was ready. The timeshare 'concierge' desk is the pushiest, most aggressive staff and tried to get me to attend a sales meeting and said my resort fees ($26 per day which gets you.... free wifi, a DVD rental and... pretty much nothing else) would be waived for attendance. Overall I felt like this was an incredibly overpriced mediocre hotel (timeshare). Stay elsewhere when in Tahoe.
Our family has taken a group vacation and stayed here for nearly a decade before the ownership change. Hilton’s been doing hospitality for ages and they’ve increased their level of service to make for a better customer experience. The rooms are being upgraded with new paint on walls, new flooring and new furniture. The new furniture isn’t necessarily comfortable, but it’s aesthetically pleasing in the room. With kiddos or as adults, you’ll enjoy the upgraded game room with foosball, shuffle board and two pool tables. At the pool, enjoy the heated indoor/outdoor pool with a great temperature variance, two hot tubs, and a wonderful sauna!

Newly renovated rooms are awesome, and the location is easy walking distance to heavenly chairlift. Also the valley parking system worked well and way included in the resort fee. Want much atmosphere for what we thought would be a ski week but maybe
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
