Hilton Short Hills - Hotel in Short Hills - 41 John F Kennedy Pkwy, USA

We visited for a quick staycation over Labor Day weekend. Hotel is nice and clean, outdoor and indoor pool were nice just like the pictures. Pool bar was open but drinks were mediocre at best. The indoor pool looks like it used to be part of a spa that is no longer there so the locker rooms are massive and would you would typically see at a spa which was nice. Room service menu tip they do not have a kids menu, they do offer kids options but it will be at the regular entree price. Easier and less expensive to go down to the bar and order a side for half the price. Emily from food and beverage was very accommodating and made sure we had a nice end to our stay, thank you Emily we really enjoyed the breakfast!

I booked a room at this hotel almost four months in advance for a wedding, expecting a smooth and enjoyable stay. However, when I arrived to check in, I was informed that they had no room for me due to a burst pipe. To make matters worse, they had no other rooms available. I was left scrambling to find a place to stay and ended up having to sleep on the floor in a friend’s room. They promised me a room the next day with priority check-in. Not only was the room not ready until 2 PM, but I also had to get dressed for the wedding in someone else's room, adding unnecessary stress to an already chaotic situation. To top it off, the hotel manager assured me that my stay for the night would be comped due to all the inconvenience. But guess what? I later received an email with a receipt showing a comped room for one night, only to find out I was still charged for the other night! This hotel is an absolute disaster when it comes to managing wedding bookings. They clearly overbook and have no regard for their guests’ well-being. Avoid this place at all costs—save yourself the stress and frustration! The hotel staff is uninterested in helping guests and their so-called "priority" service is a joke. Never again!

I recently stayed at the Hilton Short Hills from 8/17 to 8/18 with my family and friends. I am writing to share some feedback about our experience, as I believe it is important for you to be aware of several issues that occurred during our stay. Firstly, upon arrival, we were greeted by a very short and unenthusiastic welcome at the front desk. This set a concerning tone for our visit. Additionally, we encountered several problems with our room. Specifically, the bathroom door knob was faulty, leading to a distressing situation where a young child was locked inside. It actually fell off and onto the floor from the inside several times. This is a serious safety concern that needs immediate attention. We also found that the room itself was difficult to access, which was particularly worrying with children staying there. The door had to practically be forcefully pushed in and aggressively pulled out upon exiting. Furthermore, when we requested housekeeping to remove used towels and provide new ones, the staff member did not greet us and refused to take the towels, displaying a noticeable attitude. We chose to stay at your hotel expecting a high standard of service and comfort, and unfortunately, this was not met. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and address these issues to enhance the experience for future guests. I would appreciate an acknowledgment of this message and any steps you plan to take to rectify these concerns. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I was nervous about staying here based on recent reviews. However, my experience at this hotel was excellent. The staff was very helpful and eager to accommodate. The room was clean, updated and comfortable. The hotel was very busy the weekend we were there (Father’s Day) with multiple weddings and a graduation party but we never heard a thing at night. The pools were very clean and (sadly) not used by me.

Came for our anniversary just for a night. Prior to coming, we gave the property a call to see if they can set up anything special for the room for our special night. James was nice enough to set up a surprise in our room with chocolate covered strawberries. Lovely at the front desk checked us in and she was absolutely amazing. Explained everything about the hotel and what we should be doing. There was a little hiccup with the food and beverage credit but that was resolved all thanks to Heather at the front desk. The restaurant had a simple menu, great service and great food. Overall, it wasn't just a nice property but the staff did a really great job with everything. They had a messaging system to check up on our stay and requests for items which made our stay that much more enjoyable and simple. If you are an introvert, you can just do digital check-in and message for items without any contact. Would and will be recommending to others.

Very nice hotel. You can tell it’s older but it’s kept up. Beautiful lobby and staircase. Under ground parking. Rooms are large and very nice. Great lounge bar area.

Stayed at the Short Hills Hilton on 8/24/2024 following my wedding. Selected a suite to make sure we were extra comfortable and so we could completely relax now that we didn't have any wedding planning to think about. Unfortunately, the SHH fell far short of expectations. Right next to the bed is a door to an adjoining room, and it might as well have been a screen door. The people next to us stayed up late having a regular conversation and we could clearly hear every word they said. Ultimately, we had to put on a podcast so we could fall asleep to something other than their conversation. We then woke up to their alarm clock at 7:00. Why any hotel would have an adjoining door next to the bed in a two-room suite is beyond me. It was shocking how poorly laid out the rooms are, and I'd recommend a hostel or a college dorm room over this experience . . . at least you won't waste hundreds of dollars listening to some stranger talk about their day as you're trying to fall asleep.

Probably the nicest hotel in the general area - conveniently located right across the street from the most gorgeous, high-end mall! We ate in the lounge/restaurant....service was fairly slow but they had live music and the best shoestring fries with beer cheese!! I always recommend this place to people that are visiting...it's a step above a standard hotel.
