We had a really nice couple of nights at this resort/hotel. This is a very large property, but is in a prime location. We enjoyed that we could just walk across the street to the beach or simply take a 2 minute Uber ride to the downtown area where all the restaurants were located. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The staff were all welcoming as well. I would recommend anyone staying in the area to stay here as it is a great location. We had an ocean front/view room that had great views of the ocean and sunset every night.

Stayed at the Santa Barbara Hilton for a week long get-away. The location is first rate in its beach proximity and grandness of the hotel setting. We were hoping for a quiet suite and must say it was exceptionally quiet and relaxing. Staff are extremely friendly, professional and work to quickly accommodate guest needs. We did not dine at hotel, but did enjoy the complimentary happy hour setting. All around great stay.

I've stayed at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Hotel for business multiple times over the last 10 years. I've had two instances where a face towel has had blood stains, but in 15-20 stays these were the only instances in which any issues have come up regarding cleanliness of the rooms. Anytime I stayed at this hotel I was treated well, but the last two visits were highlighted by the standout attention Jaime at the front desk takes in their approach to hospitality and customer service. In addition to my experiences with Jaime, I've seen how they've interacted with other guests and had a positive affect on each person who they touch. Jaime is the epitome of what service should look like in a competitive hospitality industry.

We checked out on the 27th December. We moved to this hotel because the Hyatt down the road was bad. The room we were allocated had dirty glasses outside for 48hours. There was construction in the room next door so the entrance and stairs up to the room were dirty. They weren’t cleaned when we asked about this. There was plastic sheeting in the hall up to the room which was dirty as it was not cleaned. On Christmas Eve there was one bar tender on her own. At breakfast we waited 40 minutes for hot water. On Christmas Day there was no food served until 3pm but no notices saying that there was no service until this time. On Christmas Day when everywhere was shut, we should have been made aware. At 3pm we ordered and the salad took 40 minutes to arrive. It was sat waiting to be served but no staff available to bring it. There was also no bar service until 3pm and the shop was closed so couldn’t even buy a snack. As I’m pregnant I felt really ill from not eating properly. I spoke to a manager who got me some fruit and offered sandwiches but they didn’t meet my dietary requirements. In addition the food served was really bad quality and taste. The cost of the stay versus the experience was really poor. When we complained , the hotel said they couldn’t do anything because we booked through booking.com. The hotel staff we complained to after waiting so long for food, complained back to us that he worked 14 hours the previous day because their staff didn’t turn up. This is not our responsibility. The hotel was tired. The pool was not open and dry seats were put on wet chairs on our balcony so when we did sit out, we just got wet because it wasn’t obvious the seats were wet underneath. |I felt bad for the staff there but this was not good enough over christmas

My stay at the Hilton in Santa Barbara, which occurred a few months ago, stands out in my mind for all the wrong reasons, especially after recent travels abroad where I experienced truly stellar accommodations. This comparison has only highlighted the disappointing nature of my stay at the Hilton, given its high cost and the hotel's esteemed reputation.||||The most concerning issue was with the fire alarm in our room, which went off multiple times without any clear reason. Despite reaching out to the front desk multiple times, it took an inordinate amount of time (over three hours) for the problem to be addressed. The 'solution' was simply to remove the batteries from the alarm, leaving us without any fire detection system and feeling quite unsafe.||||Another issue that marred our stay was the significant mosquito problem in our room. While the presence of a patio might naturally lead to some encounters with these pests, the extent of the issue was unexpectedly severe and significantly detracted from our overall comfort. This experience was particularly disappointing when contrasted with a recent stay I had in Vietnam. Despite being situated right by a lake and seeing mosquitos on my balcony, the hotel in Vietnam remarkably managed to ensure a mosquito-free room. ||||Additionally, there was a letdown on a personal note. We chose the Hilton for a special occasion, my wife's birthday, and informed the hotel of this when booking. The staff initially acknowledged it and promised a celebratory gesture, but this never happened.||||On a broader note, the value for money at this Hilton is questionable. The rates are comparable to a 5-star hotel, but the experience feels more akin to a modest motel. Given the premium price, one expects premium service and facilities, neither of which met our expectations. ||||The one redeeming feature is the hotel's proximity to the beach, which is convenient. However, this alone does not justify the high cost or the issues we faced. There are many other accommodation options in the area that likely offer better value and experience.

It is not possible to write a review of this hotel, because we did not get the opportunity to stay here. A few weeks before our arrival, we were informed that the pool was going to be renovated and there would be daily construction noise. We were traveling as an extended family, including young children, to celebrate a milestone event. The noise would definitely impact our ability to enjoy the surroundings, particularly with the little ones. My issue is not with the pool renovation; I understand that these updates need to be made and accept that they are likely to happen in the off-season. My complaint is that the hotel did not give us any lead time to make alternative arrangements, and all they could offer were empty apologies. We were able to find other accommodation, but were not able to match what we had anticipated. Since it was so close to our time of travel, all the comparable options were already booked. Given that this is a high end hotel with an expensive price tag, the “dear valued guest” email made me feel anything but that. I am cancelling my Hilton Honors membership, and will no longer use this hotel chain for travel. |

Stayed here for the weekend and the hotel was amazing. Rooms were clean with everything we needed. Great view of the ocean. Location was perfect right across from the ocean and many restaurants. Food is good here as well. We were given drink cards for our stay which was a plus as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Like most hotels in Santa Barbara, this one is way over priced. ||The good: Great beachfront location with easy access to the ocean and the Oceanside walking path. Nice sized pool. Walkable to the Funk Zone area and Stearns wharf.||The bad: Very expensive nightly rate. Food and service were both mediocre. Room was spacious but dated. For the price, we expected a lot more than we got.

The best F45 I've been to. Class was packed with almost 50 members. All the coaches, specifically Coach Katrina, found time to motivate and challenge me through one of the best workouts I've had in months.
