Hilton Meadowlands - Hotel in East Rutherford - Two Meadowlands Plaza, USA

Labor Day weekend stay and we chose location based on American Dream Mall experience which was great location but hotel room experience was horrible to say we got there at night after driving from Miami exhausted just wanting to sleep took an hour just to get in elevator 4 elevators and didn’t seem all were working and barely slept due to the AC sounding like a train and the room would get humid not to mention there is carpet that felt wet half the time that I did not want to even step on. Next morning noticed shower curtain was stained and nasty and mold in corners of bathtub. There was a layer of dust on air vent as if the room had never been cleaned. The bed skirt was stained all around with god knows what as it if it had never been washed. It was like they made the bed and that’s it. I made my daughter shower with crocs type of situation. We made sure to barely spend any time in hotel only to sleep pretty much. We took the stairs half the time cause of time it took just to get on elevator. Would not recommend this hotel. We have stayed in other Hilton hotels as we are members and this one was truly a disappointment and not worth the price at all. We had children and I would have canceled and went somewhere else if it wasn’t for a whole trip planned. Room 312.

The WORST hotel experience ever. Check-in was chaotic as soon as we walked through the doors. We were given a room key to an already occupied room. The fire alarms were going off, and no sense of organization or communication was given to guests. Everyone was confused about whether they should leave or remain inside. The elevators were slow, the floor had no ice machine and it reeked of mold. |The bedroom linens are horrible, dry, and itchy, no care for proper linens for the bed. 2 out of the 4 lamps worked, no mini fridge in the room. |The bathroom was nothing special, the countertops were poorly maintained, visible repairs of cracks and missing toiletries that were pictured but were not provided. ||There are PLENTY of other options that are in the area, and I regret not staying in one of those options instead. Please do yourself the favor and avoid coming here.

Kind of split on this one. We loved the check in and the excellent breakfast and the staff was nice and accommodating but the room was not up to par. The AC was foundering as it grew less and less cool throughout our weekend stay and the toilet seat would not stay up. Also the hot water was not available during certain times of the day. Also despite two requests our room’s linens were not changed. Still, due to the kindly check in and the breakfast I’d give it a 3/5.

This was my first time staying in a Hilton Hotel and will be my last. Their rooms were smelly and dirty, the bed linen was dirty and bathroom floor and bathtub was also dirty. The elevators were not working so we had to go down the stairs. Even going down the stairs was also dirty. Thank God we only booked 1 night because this was horrible. The service was a bit better but not by much. The location was the only good thing. It was supper close to the America Dream Mall. If I could upload pictures or a video of this stay I would but the system is not letting me.

Cleanliness 3 Environment 0 Washroom 0 Rooms -10 (it's not 10. It's minus 10) Worst ever experience so far and we still have to deal with this for another 2 days. No AC, Hot water wasn't working today in the morning, After each use Bathroom feels like steam room, No exhaust at all in bathroom. Carpet is very dirty. No one responsible yet offered help. I reported few times but no luck.

AC was not working the room was freezing and we could not change the temperature. They sent someone to “help” they said we can’t do anything just shut it off! The bathroom was disgusting there was hair everywhere on the tub wall. There was even a cockroach!!! Disgusting!! I needed to use the hair dryer it worked for 3 minutes and it shut off. Oh and there was a noise coming from the bathroom that was really loud and annoying. I feel like we got scammed because the pictures online show updated modern rooms. Horrible place!!!

I had to stay here for a week for a conference. I could not even believe that this is a Hilton, this is a total embarrassment for the Hilton name. The AC was not working, which hasn't been working for weeks. They clearly have no intention to fix it, which shows you how much they value their customers. The rooms smell like mold and it's extremely humid. Carpet is nasty. There were bugs in the room. The bathroom was rusty and the fixtures were coming out. There were bugs in the shower. I did not sleep for the 6 nights that I was there because it was extremely uncomfortable. If you want to pay top dollar for a dirty, humid, smelly and hot motel experience, then this place might be for you.

Great location to MetLife Stadium but that's about it. Our room came with a floor fan because the AC simply made noise. Our room was a balmy 78 when we checked out. I asked the front desk and the guy there claims that the cooling unit for that floor has been acting up. This isn't a new problem as we experienced it back in July of 2022 as well after a concert. So, heat and a lot of noise is what we got for our room after a long day. I would avoid this place from March through October since they are in no rush to fix the AC. Tke kicker is they claimed this was a refurbished room.||Breakfast service was atrocious. No, you can't order from a menu. No, you can't get a second cup of coffee. Yes, you must track someone down just to get your check. I wonder how many people walk out without paying daily. It wasn't that busy but 4 people working the floor and zero attending to the customers.||Small issue but since they don't have physical menus in the room for room service, you need to find the QR code. Instead of being on something that stands up, they put it on the table where the TV is and it blends in. $21 for a mediocre burger, served in a box was outrageous.||Lastly, they advertise that they have EV charging. They have one. It's incredibly slow, requires an app I have never heard of and they charge $3 per hour in advance. No other app makes you pick a charging time and make you pay in full on time. I have stayed at several other Hiltons and they all seem to have 4 chargers with no fees. Also, sign says Chargepoint but it's not.
