TBH I was not sure whether to go for this hotel or opt for an Airbnb since it was going to be a long 17-night stay. |And after a week here, I’m so glad I picked up Hilton San Gabriel. |Though the property is bit old, having some spots that require maintenance, the rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, kept clean, temperature controlled (especially during the cold nights) and has decent food options. |The workout area is but small but takes care of your basic daily regime. |The best part is the staff… very friendly, ready to help and approachable. |I had to call for few stuff (being a long stay) and they were quick to send it to the room. |Breakfast and meals have become quite convenient with Paul’s friendly conversations and a few more people from Trinity. |10 more days to go and I’m sure it’s going to be one of the most comfortable long-stay trip, thanks to the people here.
The room was not made up my last day at the hotel and they would not refund two days despite my having to leave earlier than expected due to health concerns. Said I had booked through a booking company that I thought was the hotel! Drain ion the bathtub did not seal properly so could not bathe. The staff was very courteous and the restaurant excellent. Parking will cost you extra although there is plenty of room and probably no real need to charge patrons paying $200 per day for a room . Very pricy for a hotel on Valley Boulevard.
We had just come from a big-name resort in Palm Springs, and I felt like I was coming home to a good quality Hilton hotel. My experience at this hotel was better than the big-name resort. Very friendly front desk staff. Nice amenities in the room (eg, shower cap, good tea and coffee selection) and the room was very quiet and clean. Comfortable bed and good towels. We felt well taken care of. There is plenty of paid parking underground and some restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again.
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Quiet and peaceful location. The pool was amazing! Friendly and welcoming staff. Great location with several good spots to eat at. One corner of the shower leaked water from the side. Other than that, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
My parents stayed here twice when they visited LA so I’ve been curious about this place. The room is spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. The front desk team, especially Dara is professional and lovely. The manager also tried to solve any potential issues during the stay. Appreciate the effort.
I enjoy coming to this Hilton property. It is extremely clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Parking is relatively easy and for LA inexpensive. The night time security guard is quite a sweet man always saying hi and I appreciate seeing him. The front desk is a very nice group of people whom I enjoying coming in and say hello. Very accommodating. The rooms are pleasant, clean, and good amenities. I love the choice of shower or tub in most rooms. Views are decent- I do prefer the views of the vistas and mountains. The breakfasts are great. I choose between the instant noifles( Ramen) or omelet. The staff always heat me by name. And always have a kind word. Often I leave my luggage to be held while I go to work, though I have the option of late checkouts. I come here weekly- I have many choices but this is my go to hotel when I work in Pasadena
During my two stays at this hotel, I found the location to be incredibly convenient. The hotel is situated in a walkable area with plenty of restaurants and shops in close proximity, making it easy to explore the surroundings. Additionally, the parking situation was very straightforward and easy to navigate, which was a big relief. I was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, who were always available to answer any questions I had or provide recommendations. As for the rooms, I found them to be very clean and well-maintained. Overall, my experience at this hotel was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient stay.
In early 2023 I made a reservation at another Hilton hotel but, a few months ago I was informed the opening of that hotel has been delayed and I was offered this hotel as an alternative by Tom Kubo and Darwin Wang. I was a little leery at first but they both answered every question I had and did everything possible to assure me all would be fine and tended to me, for all my needs, even though this was during a time when, due to a premiere local event, most hotels were already all booked. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect as I had never stayed at the Hilton San Gabriel but, I can honestly say, I definitely plan on returning! The entire staff were SO friendly and helpful; from the parking attendants to the front desk staff, to the restaurant and bar staff. Always with a friendly smile and asking if there was anything they could do for me/us. The room was superb and offered all amenities ever needed. Tom/Darwin, THANK YOU AGAIN for offering me this absolute wonderful alternative!!
