We stayed here 11/25 for one night. The location was perfect. Check in was quick. We were initially assigned room 216, but there was constant barking from next door, so I asked to be moved. We were moved to room 206 just down the hall. The water in both rooms took at least 5-10 minutes to get hot, but the room was comfortable & most importantly had a Keurig!
The hotel is currently under renovations. The pool area is closed.
We will definitely stay here again on our next trip, as the location was perfect.
Update: We stayed 1/17. The digital key in the app wouldn't work so had to check in manually. First rm 235 the shower knob fell off. Maintenance came up, but it couldn't be fixed so we were moved to rm 102. Great stay otherwise & we'll definitely be back as we travel to western MD/WV frequently.
Pretty good hotel overall. Lobby was just renovated. Other renovations seem to be in progress. Rooms could use updating but are clean. Other guests were noisy and you could hear them through the walls. Staff was great. Breakfast was pretty typical eggs bacon sausage pancakes waffles home fries etc
The hotel was very clean and had all the amenities you ever need! We brought our own pillows as we always had do, so the pillows were not an issue. The bed was very comfortable. Sheila at check in was very nice and accommodating. The staff had a pumpkin carving contest and I voted for hers it was beautiful! Cinderella’s carriage. We only stayed for one night but it was delightful!
Nice stay in Wilkes Barre. Check-in was a breeze, room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint is they didn't serve dinner and that is one of the reasons we choose Hilton Garden Inn when traveling. There were restaurant options close by so it worked out ok. We did have breakfast in restaurant in the morning and it was just fine.
Very convenient location right off the highway. Plentiful parking. Next to a shopping plaza with a number of restaurants as well as a big Walmart. Rooms are standard HGI, so it's spacious and comfy. Front desk was friendly. Breakfast was what you'd expect. I have no complaints at all.
The hotel is beautifully decorated but that is where the good review ends. I arrived to find out that the pool and hot tub were not open due to renovations. This was NOT reflected on the website. Other area hotels were booked so I was unable to change where I stayed. This was booked about a month ahead of time. Then in the room the TV would continually freeze due to the wifi and the shower took nearly 15 minutes to heat and I was told that it was due to the fact that there weren't many people in that part of the hotel so it would take longer for the hot water to get to me. I've never heard that before but OK that sucks! The next morning I went down for the buffet breakfast. $15 gets you cold scrambled eggs that tasted like they were from a carton, cold slimy sausage links and cold well done bacon. They do also offer cereal and juice and muffins though.
Hotel quality/comfort/amenities were as expected. No issues with the room. Staff was accommodating, especially regarding our dog (a lab for reference). Check-out was easy. Only negative is that early check-in was requested, which did not happen; and one of the two rooms wasn't even ready at the standard 3 PM check-in time.
Staying here one night and location was great. Check in was easy but the front desk girls have a bit of coldness to them, definitely seemed like they did not want to work there. Room was clean and the amenities pretty standard. However the bed was terrible and pillows were beaten down like those provided in summer camp. Did not end up sleeping more than 2 hours. Would go elsewhere; lots of options nearby. Would not support this business until they update and put more focus on the customer. Rarely leave a bad or good review unless really pressed, but this is one of those times.

Friends took me there for my birthday. The bar staff were really friendly. Our waitress was very bubbly and helpful. Started with a shared pizza as an appetizer than moved on to entrees. Had a great meal and afterwards the owner shared a shot of plum
