Hilton Garden Inn West Monroe - Hotel in West Monroe - 400 Mane St, USA

A comfortable bed and a friendly staff are the best things I can say for my two-night experience at the Hilton Garden Inn in West Monroe. While this hotel was supposed to provide an upscale experience, it failed abysmally. ||The lobby and main floor looked good if you ignored the dirty sock on the sofa. Beyond that, there was an overall run down appearance and lack of attention to detail. ||The ceiling surrounding the living area vent was either dusty or moldy. After bringing this to the attention of two front desk clerks and housekeeping, maintenance spray painted the area. ||Additionally, the dust on the shelf below the living room television was thick enough that I could write in it and the return air vent was dusty as well. ||Unless you have visited the Hilton website specifically, one might be unaware that the breakfast buffet most hotels offer for free is $15/person. And for the privilege of parking in an open, unmonitored lot, you will pay in excess of $5/day. ||While staff may be friendly, a dirty, run down hotel that labels itself upscale and charges for things competitors offer for free should be ashamed.

I wish I could've tried one of the other hotels on this road. The elevator sounds like you're about to plumet to your death. The hallways smell stale, as well as the rooms. The towels were just thrown up on the rack, also why is the rack inside the shower??? The carpet in the room stinks & needs to be shampooed. The beds are itchy... I just pray it's not bed bugs. I did search the bed but it's still itchy. They do have a lot to offer like an office area, bar, pool, gym, etc but honestly that's probably to distract you from the fact that this hotel isn't worth the money. They honestly should update this hotel. It has such potential but it's like nothing has been updated or cleaned in years. The worst things are the horrible smell of the carpet in the rooms, the fact that the bed is itchy, and the elevator that sounds broken.

This is a shock to me because I stayed here before and I had a good experience. This time I had a terrible experience. I woke up to notice stains on the pillow case and sheets. Looked like dried blood or paint. The receptionist told me they had some guests that previously ruined a lot of their linen and that I must have gotten some of the sheets they didn't throw out. Then I was promised a partial refund that I never received. I accept that the water is brown. But I have to accept dirty or stained sheets. I never received a call from management even though I left my number. Sad

Every single staff person I spoke with was friendly, helpful, and professional. They’re what made the stay so much better than the rooms. Rooms were extremely dated and in rough shape. While the bed was super comfy it looked as if someone had slept in it and the sheets weren’t changed. There were scrapes, bumps, and knicks in the doors and on walls and while I know this isn’t anyone’s fault, the fact that I had a few flies sharing my room was really aggravating. Clean up the rooms and this place would be awesome!

Awful. Hard to believe how filthy this place was. I left as soon as I saw the room. Multiple things happened that shocked me. At least 4 people, including me, were given rooms in which the beds were unmade. I got another room but really doubted that the sheets were washed.The entire hotel looks unkempt, outdated, and filthy. I tried 3 separate canisters of hand sanitizers that were all empty. The staff seemed like they could care less - unprofessional in appearance and behavior. I asked for soap because there was no soap at the bathroom sink in the room. I was told to use the shower gel on the shower wall and that Hilton no longer provides bar soap at the sink. 😳 The bathroom had hair in the sink and tub. Clearly, no one had dusted. The bed didn’t have a comforter or bed skirt. There were lights out in the elevator and elsewhere. I could go on. This place is a dump. I spent maybe 2 hours there and most of it was downstairs with the staff. I am surprised Hilton has gone downhill like this. Never again. I checked out without staying. West Monroe needs better pride.

This place has gone downhill quickly. We were on the 4th floor and the entire floor was filthy, trash in hallways, nasty smell. Room was not clean, hair on floor, door had a security issue and would not close fully without added force. Also, one elevator needs addressing. THIS HOTEL NOW CHARGES $3.87 PER NIGHT TO PARK! Front desk manager was rude, when told we wouldn't come back she replied, "That's fine" This hotel needs a complete overhaul. And it's a HILTON! What an utter disgrace. *TAKE MY ADVICE, go across the street to the Hampton. Much nicer, so clean and no parking charges! They care about their customers.

Older room but they are currently remodeling and updating. Lobby and bar are very nice. Helpful manager, Michael, assisted me in resolving a small issue. Breakfast was great and very friendly server!

I stayed here about 9 years ago when I came through town, and I immediately booked this place when I came to West Monroe after all this time because I remember the positive stay I had last time. It has definitely gone downhill through the years. I wasn’t able to understand the attendant at the front desk due to her low volume and think she only made eye contact with me once. I got to my room, the bathroom door had stripped paint and the bath tub was rusting. When I got to my bed there were still hairs all over it. Seems poorly managed
