Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-Wesley Chapel - Hotel in Wesley Chapel - 26640 Silver Maple Pkwy, USA

We travel A LOT for work so I have specific things that matter most to me and that info is rarely in the reviews so here goes 😊 The overall look of the hotel is nice and modern. You can tell it is designed with business professionals in mind. Noise - The noise is sometimes an issue at hotels but this was probably one of the worst I've experienced as far as that goes. We heard traffic noise all night long, and very loudly, even with the room fan running. It may not be as bad on the side facing the pool, that would be my recommendation. The walls also seem very thin; we heard phone alarms, people walking, doors shutting, etc throughout the night as well. Cleanliness - Our room was extremely clean Comfort - The King standard room had an innerspring mattress that I would consider medium firmness. I found it to be more comfortable than most. The pillows were the standard pancake flat. The chair in the room was surprisingly comfortable as was the desk chair. Shower pressure - the pressure is amazing but unless you are pretty tall, don't expect to be able to change the setting. For shorter people, you get what you get 😂. Safety - It appears to be a safe hotel, I felt comfortable walking around inside and outside. Random info - Your Diamond Member status will not get you the typical late checkout available at most hotels, the most they accommodate here is 12. Also, when you book through the app it asks if you want your $10/day food credit or if you want extra bonus points. I'm including this because I believe the front desk can give you this as well but you may have to ask. The standard King suite has chair with a foot rest where as the King premium has a pull out sofa.

Very much enjoyed our stay here at this hotel. Rooms were spacious compared to other hotels I’ve been to. Lobby was decorated nicely and very comfortable. Beds were nice, slept well. The shop located downstairs was fully stocked with a lot of snacks and drinks - A LOT!! Deisy and Victoria at the front desk were both so accommodating, kind, and helpful with all our requests. They had excellent hospitality and were very welcoming and friendly. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Only stayed for a night, but the room was super clean and modern. Got some room service which was great. Would def recommend if you need a hotel in the area.

Positive: Very clean, good and safe part of town. Had self pay snacks and drinks on site for whenever you wanted them. Friendly staff, easy to walk your dog close to the entrance for safety . Rooms were nice . Negative: I felt the pet fee was quite pricey !!

Mid at best for the brand. Has the sliding bathroom door that doesn't actually close, ceiling paint was peeling. Had to wait several times for front desk during evening hours as they were hanging out in office with door closed.

Overall very nice. Slept well and room was clean. Lobby is beautiful, nice shop with snacks. Good location near Westley Chapel. Parking is an issue, but if you drive to the back to side, there were a few spaces available.

Terrible experience, which was a surprise based on past Hilton/Hampton experiences. Had mold in AC, told front desk. They said it would be serviced the next day, but there was no follow up. Room continued to smell musky throughout our entire stay. Only option given was to spray air freshener or downgrade the room. We checked out the double queen room but were unsatisfied. The beds were uncomfortable compared to the king. The shower was totally different and less appealing. Additionally it was no cleaner! There was hair in the windowsill and more of a musty/stale smell. Any mention of compensation or canceling the stay was met with backlash due to the usage of a special rate. On our last night, there was a cockroach. Disgusting. The cherry on top of this gross experience. Past the surface level, everything was down right dirty and unpleasant. On a positive note, our bartender was great. She’s an older woman, cannot remember the name. Loved her!

I'm here now and overall this is a pretty good hotel and I travel for work. The reason I gave it 3/5 is due to the following- 1) The water is INSANELY soft, meaning it feels like you constantly have soap on your skin when washing or showering. You get out of the shower and feel sort of "slimey". My wife is itching because of it. 2) the AC is ok. Not the best and not the worst. I wish it got a little cooler but I like it cold. We "hotel hopped" this trip to see friends and family in different places of this general area and the last place we stayed was also a Hilton, the room was bigger and I actually needed to turn the AC down it got so cold so I'm surprised a newer hotel couldn't keep up. 3) The bathroom door is a barn door on the outside. Personal preference, I know, but I feel like it gives zero privacy because it doesn't lock, there is a half-inch gap around the entire door on the outside so anyone in the bedroom can look right in. Just not my first choice. 4) The bathroom door is spring-loaded so kind stays shut or pops open. The shower door does a similar thing. We probably were shutting the shower door 3-4 times per shower because it just kept popping open. 5) As someone who's stayed in many Garden Inn's, the breakfast is SUPER disappointing. Cream cheese left out at room temp and tastes sour like it hasn't ever been refrigerated, limited options, crazy pricing and staff that just doesn't seem to care about their job. Positives though- The hotel was clean. The little non restaurant staff interaction I did have was pretty positive and the water pressure was amazing and the bed was alright, pillows were nice. All in all, I have about 5 trips to this area to make in the next 3 months and I hate to say it but I won't book this hotel due to the negatives. The water thing is #1 reason, breakfast is #2 because I don't have time to go out and stop somewhere usually. I'll have to look at the other hilton close by. I highly recommend you do the same.
