Good|Clean room and bathroom; a/c works reasonably well; work desk chair raises to a good typing height; WiFi is reasonably good; many power outlets at the work desk.||Not good|The bath towels were on a rack inside the shower; the towels will get wet with spray or at least feel damp from the shower - this is stupid; the bath towels were moved to cubbyholes in the clothes storage area to keep them dry; while taking a shower, it was obvious that the towel rack was wet; the breakfasts in the "restaurant" area of the hotel were lacking; the continental breakfast was oatmeal, various sweet rolls and breads, and cubes of cantaloupe, honey dew, and pineapple; no consideration for diabetics with all the sweet rolls and the breads; the price for continental was at least 25% too much considering what was provided; the "order from the menu|choices" were not enough quantity considering the menu prices; we saw what was on the plates; we never ordered from the menu; the vouchers from the hotel covered the "restaurant" charges, but, breakfast would be better set up buffet style and replenish|food items as needed.||Overall|The room was nice enough, the beds were comfortable overall, but the breakfast arrangement here is very lacking and questionable; this issue needs improvement to get above a just average recommendation for the hotel.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in San Bernardino and the rooms were spacious, clean. Customer service was great. Friendly service from Kevin at the front desk. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Has a nice small bar and restaurant. You can walk to quiet a few restaurants. The most important thing was their customer service. Very nice at the front desk.

Some of the rooms on the second floor are located close to the HVAC system. If your room is near the systems, you can hear LOUD engine and fan noises. The noises make it extremely hard to sleep. If you are a hard sleeper, this may not bother you. However, it's LOUD enough to bother most people. The Front Desk Team and General Managers are aware of this condition and don't appear to care. In fact, one of the Front Desk Agents, stated, its not a huge issue because most people haven't complained. The management should make you aware of this issue at check-in, but they don't. I would not stay here again.

I’ve never written a review on any business in my life, never. Not on any app whatsoever. ||||I’m empathetic, patient, and have worked in customer service myself, so I’ve always been one to understand things happen and it’s not worth putting negativity on the internet, especially when one experience could affect someone’s livelihood or reputation.||||However, this review is absolutely necessary to prevent anyone having close to the tragic experience I had at The Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino, from the very beginning to the very end. ||||—————||||CHECK IN:||||Immediately upon check in, I was greeted by a condescending male supervisor — I wish I had noticed his name tag. Middle aged and bald. I realized when I got out my ID from my wallet, my debit card had been lost earlier in the week — ||I quickly went to grab my boyfriend who was waiting in our car so he could provide his debit card and matching ID (for the standard incidental deposit). ||||Not a problem by me. (I had borrowed a parent’s card with the same last name for the weekend until mine came in the mail). The different first name on the card wasn’t acceptable, but again I totally understood the policy and made no fuss.||||When I went to grab my boyfriend, he let me know that we had mistakenly booked the wrong Hilton 2 mins from the one my friends and family were all staying in — the Doubletree by Hilton San Bernardino. ||||I called Hotels.com who are always extremely accommodating, as I’ve been booking with them exclusively for about 15 years now. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask. ||||They spoke with the hotel directly, about my mistake and ideally switching to the neighboring Hilton. ||||Then the hotel supervisor I JUST spoke to a few minutes earlier lied to hotels.com customer service saying that I couldn’t stay there because my first name on ID didn’t match my debit card. ||||He seemed desperate to hold onto the reservation at all costs, like they were struggling to compete with newer hotels down the street.||||Backstory: We had driven nearly 2 hours from near San Diego to San Bernardino for a Khalid concert at the Yamaava Casino. We had family from Chicago all at the Hilton Doubletree. ||||When I went back inside the hotel, the supervisor made sure to tell me without me even asking that he wasn’t just a desk clerk, he would is the supervisor (basically insinuating for me not to ask for more assistance). His pompous attitude and smirk on his face while I was tearing up was inhumane. He snarkily said “there’s 50 hiltons in the area”. Like sorry sweetie, I don’t care vibes.||||———————||||Skip forward to check out morning. This is probably the MUCH MORE IMPORTANT and most unsettling part of our stay — ||||Our car was broken into overnight. This is a major safety issue.||||We were parked in the front aisle right against the sidewalk of the lobby entrance and gate to the pool area - not in a dark inconspicuous area.||||My boyfriend and I noticed immediately when we about to load our suitcase into the vehicle to go home... ||||There were items shifted all over the vehicle including in the trunk and removable compartments of the front console etc. ||||Luckily we had no valuables inside. ||||The person who did this, also was odd enough to leave behind his/her personal blue reusable water bottle on the passenger seat.||||The woman working the morning desk shift was extremely kind and empathetic and asked the times our car was there to review security cameras. I want to make sure she gets credit for her hospitality, because she was the polar opposite of humanity compared to the “supervisor”.||||I would never stay at this hotel solely based on the treatment I received at check-in.||||Side note: Bring your own towels from home if you’re planning on using the minuscule pool area. They only offer rough, very thin, and short, essentially. dish rags as “pool towels”.||||I’m so disappointed as I had tickets for this concert in San Bernardino for months and I wanted to make a nice weekend of it. Instead my car got broken into and I was treated with zero signs of being accommodated at check-in.||||I suggested I give my car make and model and where I parked to the woman at the desk, but I highly doubt security will check the cameras. ||||She was very kind, but seemed unbothered.||||There’s a sign in the lot that says they are not responsible for theft or damage to the vehicle, I’m guessing the car break-ins aren’t that rare of an occurrence .||||Overall, would opt for the Hilton Doubletree instead. My family had nothing but a normal positive experience there. The going rate was the same as the Garden Inn for our dates. If you would like a warm staff with a modern more upscale feel for the category, go there. We even went to the DoubleTree for dinner to try to forget where we were sleeping for the night.

Big crack across window in room, light in bathroom kept going on and off while in bathroom, elevators sounded like they were going to break down at any moment and the service dates were expired so we went down the stairs instead and one broke while we were headed down- very dangerous! Swimming pool and hot tub was down a dark alley. Breakfast was 18.00 per person for what should have been a complimentary meal. People at desk non-chalant and acted like they really just didn’t care.

Very lovely hotel, staff welcoming and very kind, esp on our arrival. This was not a pleasure trip but a family emergency. I am grateful there were rooms at this most convenient, clean, pleasantly staffed hotel. The rooms were large and clean, the bed a little hard and some floor grout missing in the bathroom, but overall a great experience.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My hotel room was BURGLARIZED. This occurred while the hotel was at full occupancy. I left my room for maybe 3 or 4 hours. When I returned I discovered my rooms door had been forced open. Hotel staff at the front desk expressed concern. However due to the lack of available rooms I was forced to stay in my room unable to lock the door. After returning home with nothing but my keys and wallet I filed a claim with the hotel, who put me in contact with their insurance company. After itemizing the stolen belongings and two weeks of waiting. I was told the hotel was not responsible for an individuals criminal actions. No compensation or discount was offered. All my belongings are gone. I'll never return here again. Despite what the management may post in reply to this, this issue has not been resolved.
