Hilton Garden Inn Poughkeepsie/Fishkill - Hotel in Fishkill - 25 Westage Dr, USA

I was at the Hilton Garden Inn for a family wedding in nearby Beacon. I was pleased with the accommodation. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and bright. Black out curtains and a quiet air conditioning system as well as a comfortable bed in the 2 queen room, allowed for a good night's sleep. The room and building were clean and maintained to a good standard. Hallways were well lit and fresh looking. The lobby and its furnishings were attractive.| The indoor pool was small but adequate as was the hot tub. More frequent mopping of the floor in the pool area would have been appreciated, as would a few extra chairs.|The buffet breakfast at the hotel was ok. The eggs tasted powdered. The rest of the offerings were basic but fine.|Staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

For the price breakfast should be included. Front desk wasn’t very warm and inviting. Also, we went to use the pool and we couldn’t use it because they had a swimming school going on front desk failed to inform us and let us know that this was a thing if I would have been told about this happening I would have been ok with that . Room was clean and location is good . But I’d pick a different place to stay in the area that offers more amenities for that price.

Did the digital key so I didn’t have to check in and picked my room. I get here a little before check in and had to still do check in process and give my card even though I did it already and then I didn’t get preselected room and a totally different floor. The front desk is almost robotized and not warm. They were training someone I guess and didn’t seem outgoing that we were there although the man was polite. There is also not so much as a jug of water or coffee etc, nothing to offer guests and I didn’t see anything until they served breakfast which you pay for. Ok so a different room no problem and the place is clean. Then there is no dinner tonight and we go to use the pool and there is a swimming class so we have to wait a few hours. We are here for one night and have a toddler, not cool. I only stay at Hilton but now I will look around now never at garden inns also because this stay was just subpar I have been to much better.

The rooms are a bit dated but the service could not have been better. I was only here one night, but had a 4 hour drive ahead of me the next day and needed a good night’s sleep. After relaxing in my room for a bit, I noticed it wasn’t really cooling down. I went down to the front desk and after chatting with Jon (I think was his name) for a couple minutes, I was literally chilling in my new room. That said, I got a great night’s sleep, grabbed a quick bite in the lobby before hitting the road.

Spent the weekend here. Planned on spending Sunday at the pool well that couldn’t happen. Swimming lessons from 12 to 4. No sign no warning at check in. We were told we could still use the pool but it’s full of kids, instructors, parents, large red tents set up on the floor. It’s very inconsiderate. We’re paying guests. They did offer to take money off our previous evenings bar bill but that does nothing to help with now being stuck in my room for the afternoon. We would’ve booked elsewhere if we new this in advance. Joseph the bartender on the other hand was absolutely amazing! He gets 5 stars!

Signs in room said it would be cleaned every other day. Stayed 3 nights room was never cleaned. Asked front desk and cleaning staff to clean room/ never happened. Coffee and cups were left only for 1 day. Had to get more towels cups toilet paper and coffee. Shower was old, stained in corners and had no removable spray head. Breakfast was not good- eggs cooked to order were not good, sausage was beyond salty. For the price of the room and the breakfast I would stay somewhere else. i have to say that the front desk people were very nice, as was one of the people in the cafe

They charged so many fees to us on this trip for no reason and didn't refund. Almost $300 extra. We were here for a wedding and it was just very unpleasant. Also the beds felt like you were laying on a cement block. 2 days later my back still hurts. Do not go here it is awful. Especially if you have pets. If I could I'd give this place a negative review. Terrible!

Solid hotel, in a area with moderate restaurants within walking distance. Service staff is super friendly the hotel itself had 1 elevator out and ice on the second floor was out out also
