Standard 3 star hotel. Rooms are clean with basic mid-level furnishings. Bed sagging. Walls are thin and I had a loud group of kids on my floor, unfortunately. Service staff friendly and helpful. Spacious lobby. Office, pool, lounge, breakfast area. Outside was nice with multiple seating areas. Sets back from the road, behind another hotel, which helps block traffic noise.
Great HGI. Good service, nice quiet rooms. Comfortable amenities. The breakfast is a super good value. Could use more options in the pantry area for food to make in the room, but that's pretty minor.
Ashley at the front desk is awesome! She was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the good service!
Booked 3 nights (5/3-5/6) arrived at 1:00 am on 5/4, immediately knew we could not stay three days but were exhausted.
Curtains ripped, bedspread full of pulls and holes, bathroom smelled damp and mildewy, shower curtain moldy, bathtub moldy w/ a huge hair stuck to the wall, towel rack covered in rust. Once we tried to sleep, the AC ran all night with a loud rattling noise that kept us awake. The next morning, we tried to shower, handle was broken and only 1/2 the water dribbled out. We have photos of ALL these issues, emailed them to mgmt and rec'd NO response.
After checking with our family members in a different room, we learned that their room was just as bad, we immediately contacted Expedia to request a refund for our remaining two nights. We were told there was no hotel manager on duty and we'd have to wait 72 hrs for an answer. We were offered new rooms but why would we want two different disgusting rooms? We refused and were gone by 9:30 am.
We went next door to the Homewood Suites by Hilton. We explained our predicament to Jodie at the front desk, who was wonderful. She found us two rooms AND allowed us to check-in EARLY, at 9:30 am instead of 3:00 pm at NO additional charge. We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It was slightly more $ but SO worth it. Clean spacious rooms, beautiful lobby, helpful staff.
Took 60 hrs for mgmt to respond that they refuse to refund our $. Mgmt never responded to our email w/ photos. Horrible hotel, horrible mgmt. Stay away.
First, the staff were very friendly and the hotel was spotless. The front desk and cleaning staff are solely responsible for the two stars. However, the primary purpose of a hotel is a good night's sleep. That was not possible here. The mattress was thin and sunken, with a wooly covering that seems to have been an attempt to alleviate the discomfort. It did not work. We tossed and turned all night long. We paid for a jacuzzi suite, but the "jets" were more like the pressure from a garden hose. There is rust, chipped paint, and peeling wallpaper everywhere. The outlet for the refrigerator is a potential fire hazard, as it required some pushing and turning for it to work. Overall, DEFINITELY not worth the almost $200 we paid.
Entry and front desk are updated, but rooms are very dated and had some minor repairs that needed done. Breakfast was really good and service was great.
We stayed 2/24and 2/25, 2024 Older hotel needs some renovation. The restaurant was closed for dinner I guess due to no liquor license. Breakfast was ok eggs bacon sausage. Things in room need updating.
The digital key didn’t work.
The bathroom door had to be closed or it opened and hit when the main door was opened. Kurig didn’t work would not brew. Hair dry didn’t have any force.
Curtains in bad shape.
Had some fuzzy thing on the bed.
We went to this because it said it had restaurant all for it to be closed . We could have stayed an Hampton Inn and watched to restaurants.
Over all ok. Not the best Hilton Garden Inn we have stayed in.
The hotel is in a good location. It feels safe and the parking is fine. Checking was easy and the service checking in was good. The room was clean and spacious. However, the mattress was worn out. It sagged in the middle so if you like to sleep in a hammock you’ll probably like it but it was painful for me.
The bathroom was big and had everything I needed except hot water at the sink. All it had was cold. Turning the lever all the way to the hot side simply turned off the water flow.
I used my Hilton Honors Reward to get free breakfast. They had a good selection, but there was no silverware available nor were there any beverages. No one was at the front desk for at least 30 minutes so I couldn’t even buy a beverage at the little kiosk. I put my bacon and eggs on a bagel and called it a sandwich so I didn’t have to eat like Grizzly Adams and Mad Jack.
No one was available when I went to check out either. The maintenance guy and the guy cooking breakfast came over and checked everyone out who were waiting for their receipts.
My family and I had to stop here unplanned due to a car issue while traveling. We honestly just picked the closest Hilton. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were very clean and decorated very nicely. The beds were very comfortable a
One of the best bar and grills in Holiday Inn franchise. Epic food! Also Stephanie at the front desk is so nice and makes sure your stay is amazing. She really impressed me! Highly recommend the Holiday inn in Joplin

This is an older hotel, but well maintained. This is my second occasion residing in this hotel, for my employment training. They offer a full breakfast; however, I wish they offered other meat options, and not just pork. The customer service is great
Such an awesome place with super gracious host. Stayed there for Thursday and Friday night so that we could see the comedy show and not have to drive home afterwards sat by the creek and spent the day relaxing kudos.
