This was the perfect place to stay for a concert at the Dickies Arena. Reasonable room rates for the area. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The food and drinks were really good and it was so nice and easy to be able to grab something good here prior to our concert. Across the board, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Stayed here because of proximity to Dickies arena, and because the location felt safe.
The employees were friendly and I had several positive interactions They answered any questions I had with a smile. Room was super super clean. Beds were very comfortable. It was so dang hot and humid that one day we stayed inside and napped in the AC all day and I have zero regrets about indulging in the comfort of a cozy bed.
We didn't eat the breakfast here and didn't use pool so cannot comment there.
Would definitely stay here again.
We took a 1 day "stay cation" and stayed at this hotel because they had a cute kids area at the indoor pool. We had planned to go to a different hotel with an outdoor water area, but weather had us change plans last minute. I called and booked over the phone and front desk was nice on the phone. We got there and check in was a breeze. We were a little disappointed because we were told the pool was closed for pictures for a couple hours. But we used the time to get our bags up to the room, change, and then went back down to the lobby to check the pool. We were told it would be a little longer so we hung out in the lobby with another family we met there and our kids played together while we waited. The employees came over and apologized for the wait and gave the kids and adults some snacks and beverages while we waited. Finally the pool was open and my kids absolutely loved it! The area was perfect for my younger kids. Also, loved that the pool was open late. So after dinner we went back and they swan until midnight! Then we all had a great night sleep. Beds were comfortable! My daughter keeps asking when we can go back since we checked out.
15.00 for parking, 17.95 for a breakfast buffet that consisted of old scrambled eggs, stale cereal, no biscuits, a pan full of gravy, no bacon, had to ask multiple times to get a drink. If you wanted French toast for kids it was 8.00 for two pieces of bread. I've had better free breakfasts at Super 8. Not a good look at all.
Pros: The hotel has an overall “grand” ambiance, we enjoyed the modern western decor. The rooms are nicely decorated and quiet. Gym is nice and has nice indoor pool. Location was central to what we needed.
Cons: Breakfast (which is basically continental) is about $20 a person and that price is not clear (not posted, check in staff did not inform) until you get the bill. When we called customer service, gentleman was rude. Manager did contact us due to the complaint, but basically just repeated that breakfast is not free. Pillows are lumpy. Parking is $15 a day.
Veve and Angie were so kind and helpful booking during a busy weekend. I traveled from Memphis to the hospital to stay with my father who had just been diagnosed with cancer. The staff was able to book me another night so I didn't have to switch hotels. It was a perfect place for me to shower and take a nap. They were so so so kind and I'm so thankful.
Everything here was top notch, including the front desk employees, the location, the room, and the bartenders...
I gave Service 4 stars but not because there was a customer service issue. There was not. Everyone working there was pleasant and helpful and looked for ways to help. My 2 issues are detailed below:
I'm usually pretty flexible but I don't quite trust booking here after the awful experience I had.
Maybe customer service is better when they aren't having a busy weekend, but I had a horrible time here. They never answer their phone and I was unable to cancel or modify my reservation after getting stranded in Dallas, and they refused to give me a room for the second day of my two night stay. I completely get that capacity is limited but I would've appreciated a much better response than the flat and unhelpful "no" I received when asking for a refund or a room when I'd already paid! No "we understand and are sorry there's just no rooms available", just a flat "no" like they couldn't care less that I booked ahead of time, needed a place to sleep, and hadn't been able to get hold of them over the phone all weekend!
In case this place responds on Google with something to the effect of "that's policy and you were rude over the phone so we didn't want to help you", I was more than courteous multiple times and given no options of recourse or otherwise before getting angry with the customer service for being absolutely useless, and it's easily the least helpful customer service I've had at a hotel in over ten years of traveling. I recommend anybody who needs a place to sleep stay the heck away from this place.
