Hilton Garden Inn Calabasas - Hotel in Calabasas - 24150 Park Sorrento, USA

My wife and I were researching hotels for a 2 night Malibu beach adventure and decided to book this hotel since it was only 22 minutes away on google maps. It was a great decision. The hotel is located in a safe, modern, and convenient are of Calabasas. It was indeed only a 22-28 minute drive to Malibu even in holiday weekend traffic. The road was one way in each direction, but not nerve racking. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and has everything you need. Why pay $600 a night in Malibu for a old little inn that is just a glorified Motel 6? Service was quick and friendly. Maybe a bit too friendly. The manager at the front desk reminded me of a character Rob Lowe would play in a comedy movie. He was so nice and professional I told my wife later that the guy probably had to unwind each day by screaming in his car for 5 minutes straight after work. Bottom line - Solid hotel for your California adventure. Great value.

My wife and I recently stayed three nights. We enjoyed our stay and found the room to be clean and comfortable. The location is very nice and we felt 100% safe. It was easy to get to both the Reagan Presidential Library and the Getty Center. Also, a quick drive through the canyon took us to Malibu and Highway 1. The parking lot does get full, but we still were able to find a spot even late at night. It's a bit of a drive to places like Hollywood and Santa Monica, but for me it was worth the trade. We did check in and check out through the app and used the digital key, so we didn’t interact with the staff much. However, we received a war greeting every time we walked by the front desk. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend.

The washroom sink was clogged and only one person was available on-duty. Lack of cleanliness and under staffing is absolutely not expected from Hilton! Do not recommend this hotel as the manager will act like its your fault and not provide fair compensation.

I stay in this place often it's a nice place because the pavilions are next-door so you have a movie theater and great restaurants. It's easy to get on the highway. Usually the service is really good. This time. I have really good service and a few not so good points.but most of the staff seem to be really good there

Positive: No styrofoam (more earth friendly) in eating area/ friendly staff. Great value. Convenient parking Negative: Room was a bit warm. I will ask for a room facing east during heat spell. Kind of noisy by exit door in hall.

The guy that checked me in was great! There's a dinner and a breakfast. I know breakfast is an add'l charge...not sure about dinner. The room was clean. 2 queen beds. I got the handicapped room again! The bed was really comfy. I slept wonderfully. Hotel is in a great location (quiet and walkable) near a grocery store (Ralphs), a bunch of restaurants, a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and a movie theatre. Three minutes from all these. There is water and coffee in the lobby 24/7. I'd stay again for price, comfort and location, location, location.

The 'do not disturb' door tag would fall off the door almost every time we opened or closed the door. I highly recommend that management seek other methods or designs to hang these more efficiently. The breakfast downstairs was great, food was clearly freshly made and they took special requests as well. When things ran low, they were quick to restock. Staff in the kitchen was great. Room was across from the pool and we could hear kids screaming/playing/yelling throughout the day while they were out there, even over the AC fan on continuous loud. The pool curfew is 10pm and the noises stopped around then as expected, staff seems to enforce this.

Stayed here to escape the traffic and congestion of the Valley. This hotel is in a great location, right next to the Calabasas Commons. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and safe to walk at night. The rooms are updated, clean and well kept. The service was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. A highly recommended hotel.
