Hilton Garden Inn Asheville South - Featured Reviews (504)
I drove from Texas to North Carolina for a week of sightseeing. I have stayed in well known hotel brands over the years and enjoyed them, but when I read the reviews a few years later, the locations I enjoyed before have gone down. In other hotels, rooms may not be cleaned, and staff seem disconnected and out of touch. ||None of that is the case here. There is nothing lacking or second-rate in this hotel, and I was completely satisfied; in fact, it was the only hotel I stayed in for my entire trip; all the rest were bed-and-breakfasts or Airbnb's.||The hotel is conveniently located just minutes from I-26. There is plenty of parking. Check-in was quick, efficient, and friendly. Your room card-key unlocks your door by touch; swiping in a groove is no longer needed. (In another very well known hotel chain in another state, last winter, it took thirteen swipes for my room key to get me in!)||The room was very spacious and completely comfortable; the air-conditioning kept the room perfectly cool on a warm summer night. The walk-in shower was spacious, and there was plenty of hot water.||The hotel has a full-service bar and even a restaurant with a limited menu, though I had dinner reservations elsewhere that evening. A great breakfast buffet is available each morning for a reasonable charge, and I enjoyed it. Rebecca, the dining room supervisor, was particularly friendly and efficient. ||The room rate was more than reasonable for this accommodation, and I consider the whole experience an outstanding value. If your travel plans include Asheville, you should definitely stay here.
Fantastic hotel! Accommodations, staff, ambiance, and decor were on point! It was our first time staying at a Hilton Garden Inn and it exceeded my expectations! Will book again!
I really appreciated that there was an on-site restaurant with very tasty food. I didn't have to worry about finding another place for my family to eat after our 7-hour drive.
This is been one of the best hotel experiences our family has had. We were having problems getting home and dealt with multiple canceled flights. We ended up having to spend two unplanned nights in Asheville after being stranded at the airport. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to help make our stay a good experience, knowing what we were dealing with. They sent shuttles to pick us up from the airport both nights after we let them know our situation. It literally felt like we were being rescued. Every single staff member we interacted with was so kind and helpful. The front desk staff our second night was heaven sent. I was too upset from our airport disaster to properly thank her, but I wish I could hug her now. She was so kind and compassionate. Thank you everyone for making our day better. We won’t forget how well we were treated.
Oh this place is incredible! Sharon was so professional and inviting as we checked-in. Even gave some great tips on things to do in Asheville. The grille here was good as well as breakfast. Our stay was awesome! We’re definitely coming back the next time we vacation here.
My beloved dog Lola and I have now stayed twice at this hotel and just loved every minute of our time there. The staff are friendly, down to earth, nice people - starting with the General Manager Aaron Dearry to Tina and Hannah at reception. The rooms and decor are modern, light and airy. Noise level is minimal. The hotel is exceptionally clean and beautifully landscaped. Location is convenient to all areas in and around Asheville. After dinner at Goldfinch (highly recommend) in Black Mountain, I told my friend we are 'heading home' to this hotel. As someone who suffers from PTSD, I feel safe and cared for in this hotel for all of the reasons listed above.
The staff was courteous and helpful when available. On two occasions I could not get anyone at the desk. Our room was clean and comfortable. The one time we ate there, the food was very good. However, it took longer than usual to get it. The location is not "scenic," at least from our second floor window.
Amenities and staff are wonderful! Rebecca helped us every morning at breakfast & was such a delight. She took time to chat & hear about our trip, but also did a great job of checking on everyone at breakfast service. Renee and Tamara have the perfect personalities for evening service. After a long day, they know when to make you laugh & when to give you space to unwind with minimal distractions.
Of all the 50+ Hilton Garden Inn hotels we have stayed at, this one was the best in every way. The efficiency of the staff, their warmth and competency were top notch. The room was perfect and the location ideal. Kudos to this hotel!
