Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown - Hotel in Asheville - 309 College St, USA

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days in June and had a great experience. The room was clean, quiet, and quite spacious. Breakfast included made to order omelets, which were overflowing with ingredients. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure our event was just right. I was quite impressed with their willingness to help in any way that we needed.

This is the best stay we have had at a Hilton brand hotel. The staff is outstanding. The hotel is very clean, and we think the location is great. Close enough to walk downtown, but a little removed enough to enjoy a break when needed. Parking is a breeze. The view from the upstairs bar is beautiful. But the service here is what sets it apart. We were so impressed with the staff here during our stay!

This hotel is actually a 10 minute walk from downtown. The walk is easy. ||The hotel is new, common spaces are well designed. The rooms are fine. The outlet next to the bed wasn’t working. There’s a nice gym and a pool. ||The real problem is parking. Parking costs $15/night. It’s not well-disclosed on the website and was just presented at check-in. This is a small town in North Carolina, everybody is driving to the hotel. The parking deck is next to the hotel with no controlled access and the gates weren’t functioning. Anybody can park there but Hilton charges $15 for it. It felt like nickel and diming to charge guests to park in a rural town in the Smokey Mountains. ||Otherwise, a fine stay for one night.

The service at the hotel was GREAT! The staff were so attentive. It's a nice hotel with a rooftop that has a nice view. Rooms are good, and the breakfast is great. Many thanks to Tina, Jerry, Chad, Alyssa, and Amari for making the staff more memorable and enjoyable. We'll be back!

Incompetent Manager & Staff. I booked 3 night Advance Purchase. I had to leave a day early & spoke with 2 different staff members who advised me I would not be charged for the last night. I even have a receipt where I was not charged. My card was charged for the entire stay. The manager, Desiree Casey, basically called me a liar stating she didn't know I was telling her the truth & refused to stand behind what her staff told me. She also refused to return 3 of my phone calls. To question my integrity is 1 thing, but she would not admit her Staff made a mistake and choosing $$$ over guest treatment is unacceptable. I have never been treated with so much disrespect by The Hilton & Desire. It is extremely upsetting when I trusted her Staff to know their policies when they advised me I would not be charged for the last night. I trusted their answers & was told by Desiree that I should learn how to read a contract.

We stayed four nights through AVL Fest and were impressed by the central location of the hotel and how easy it made getting around. Helpfully, there is a huge shared car park right by the hotel which removed any stress about whether there'd be a parking space on our return. The room was reasonable, very spacious and clean. The bathroom was a good size, and it was all very light and spacious which made for a pleasant stay. Breakfasts were reasonable, although we mainly stuck to fruit and drinks, but servers were polite.

Great stay! Convenient amenities- loved the free shuttle and Barbara at the front desk helped us multiple times and was such a gem she truly stood out during our experience and was exceptional with recommendations and so much more!

We almost always choose Hilton hotel so I generally know what to expect. The location is very good. Easy walk to downtown and the staff was great. Friendly and helpful. The rason for the rating is the breakfast. I needed to eat there to make my meeting schedule work. The eggs were tasteless and possible reconstituted. There were no wheat bread choices only thin stale white bread and bagels. The bagels both days were tough to chew after toasting. Poor cereal choices and minimal fresh fruit. Tried an apple the first day and it was so astringent tasting I could not eat it. This was so disappointing especially for $18. Do better Hilton. We know you can! In retrospect I would have grabbed food from Whole Foods and ate on my room.
