Very impressed. We had a king room and it was very spacious and well kept. They may may be renovating, but I could hardly tell in that I didn't smell anything nor was being with dust. Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was great with many choices. Pretty good location as well. Will definitely stay here again.
Good hotel. Usual expectations. Good bar. Great condition overall. Good rooms. Not thrilled with bath tub shower but I get it, kids like it. Great AC ans TV in room. Overall good experience, great staff. Easy parking.
Excellent stay!! Staff was very friendly night and day. You have to pass the check in booth very close to enter so the front desk sees everyone coming and going from the front. We got Chicken tenders & fries and Street tacos for dinner. They were both delicious, warm and good portion. Stopped by bar before close the the manager was nice to talk to and made great drinks. Pool and hot tub are a bit small but not a lot of people there so didn’t feel crowded. The gym had everything you need to do a quick workout. The room was large (we had 2 beds) and quiet. They are doing some renovations so some of the paint looks spotty but not terrible. The rest of the hotel looked excellent and brand new with a large lobby to relax in with a drink or breakfast. We will be staying here next time we are in Ames.
Wonderful stay with my dog! The best pet friendly hotel I've stayed at. The women at the front desk was so nice and helpful. The room was in a great quiet location. Dedicated potty area for dogs.
The hot tub jets didn't work at all and the water was warm at best. Also don't go before 3 pm. We couldn't get in even at 230. Rooms were decent and beds were fine.
I had a meh experience staying here. When I checked in, they told me they had “oversold” rooms and they needed to transfer me to another hotel, free of charge (of course). After coming back from the other hotel, it was even better than this one! The room had some painting issue around the thermostat.
I stayed here for a week and I checked out on Friday, but accidentally left my very special water bottle there. It was a one of a kind water bottle bedazzled pink, and white cow print stainless steel tumbler with a stainless steel straw that had a cowboy hat as a straw cover on top of it, got it at my friends bachelorette party. Everyone compliments me on this water bottle and accidentally left it there when I was carrying my three bags out from my business trip. I called immediately after I left and told them that I had left the water bottle there and they said they’d leave a note for the housekeeping team. I told them I would be back on Sunday night so on Sunday I called and asked if they had found the water bottle first and they said they didn’t know how to check the lost and found but to call back on Monday when their housekeeping lead was there so they could check the lost and found. I tried calling on my way home from work, but no one answered twice and then I decided to drive there to check when I got there. The lady at the desk said she didn’t know how to check the lost and found either but she a binder that somehow might say that something was left and she said nothing was left in the log so I’m assuming the housekeeping team saw the water bottle and thought it was awesome and decided to keep it. They didn’t offer to do anything for me And I’m pretty upset because that bottle was pretty special. I didn’t find anything really nice about the hotel and the gym was always out of towels and so hot
Positive: The room was nice & big. So was the bathroom/shower. Negative: The hot tub jets were not very good. I specifically chose a hotel that had a pool & hot tub. Also not much lighting in the room.
Was in town for a wedding and had a flawless stay at this hotel. Great breakfast bar: eggs, bacon, waffles, and fresh fruit! Add 2 hard-working Country Inn employees who kept the food coming and the tables fastidiously CLEAN! Did I say BACON? Lots of
Updating my old review: This will once again become my favorite hotel in the area. The newly updated rooms are a nice change of pace and I found all of the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The gateway has done a good job bringing things up to

Innamoratissimo! The cityâs definitive hole in the wall cafe downtown, under what was the old Bike World / Two Wheel Travel on Kellogg and Main. Great aesthetic, not too big nor too small. NOT wheelchair accessible due to the almost microscopic sta
