Great customer service, knowledgeable about beers, relaxing vibe.Enjoyed the flight of beers. My favorite is the Hilo golden ale, all had a great flavor. The only thing on the down side was limited T-shirts and merchandise available.

Fun brewery. A little on the messy/cluttered side. Beers were all good but I do not recommend the current pumpkin seasonal.. tastes a little like cloves got dumped into coors light. The rest of the beers were good and the price not bad either for the flight. Staff was pretty friendly. Had to try it at least once.

One word Awesome!! This place is fantastic!! The owner and head brewmaster was a delight to talk to! The tasting room is fantastic and the two beers I had were delicious!! This place is as good as any Portland brewery I've been to!! Mahalo!

Good beers, limited selection. Five beers when we visited but all were good.

Many have heard of Hawai'i Nui Brewing, Keoki Brewing and Mehana Brewery ... but now there's Hilo Brewing Company which produces a nice variety of local, handcrafted ales and lagers. From the outside, aside from the many posters, this unassuming brewery sure packs a nice fresh hoppy punch. I drove by this place twice before finally checking it out. You enter past the chain link fence, through the warehouse, with a single sign to the tasting room which contains only a tiny bar for you to enjoy the island's tasty concoctions. Extremely friendly people greeting you here though. The Humpback is a nice crisp lager that I've had before and coming straight out of the tap it's much better. Probably the most popular because it's very approachable and something that everyone could and should enjoy. I prefer a hoppier beer myself and was very pleased with their Tsunami IPA - something I could drink on a regular basis. The next step smoother is the Mauna Kea Pale Ale. There was once a rich, smoky Hapa Brown Ale that went great with a hearty meal. They've got a decent handful of selections at any given time and I'm looking forward to tasting their future creations. Hilo Brewing also has a nice little gift shop with quality t-shirts, glasses and caps and a few other items. You can also buy their beer here or even grab a nice little growler to satisfy your thirst after you depart the grounds. Just don't be tempted to open it on the way home! Enjoy and Mahalo!

I got a flight of beer, enjoyed a couple. The main reason I had to write a review was because the burger I ordered there was hands down the best burger I've ever had in my life. I wanted to return just for that burger again!

Instant love a first sight, felt the HBC Aloha spirit, welcoming everyone as “There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't yet met”, starting from two lovely dogs chilling at cushioned bed, a great spread of charcuterie prepared by Daugher who is a professional cater, yummy six beers flight sampler, my favorite Hilo Golden Ale. Suggestion to brewery: how about add some island fruit sour beers?

Really chill place to grab a beer and some nachos. Got their sampler and every single beer was really good, covering a variety of styles. Great prices, and staff was really friendly and nice to chat with. Really recommend!
