Our second time staying at this beautiful, quiet Inn across from a lovely, family beach park. Renee was super helpful upon arrival! Spacious Orchid room has a lovely lanai with table and chairs to sit outside with breakfast and a chaise. Excellent bed and extraordinary shower! A quick ride both to the airport and downtown and to gorgeous Rainbow Falls and the wonderful Farmers Market. We also enjoyed the exquisite park across from Hilo Bay Cafe, as well as lunch there. We hope to return next year!
Hilo Beach House Inn was the perfect location for our Hilo stay. The inn and our room was aesthetically pleasing, very clean and comfortable. The table and chairs on the screened in porch made it pleasant to sit and enjoy the sounds of the ocean and surrounding wildlife. The quiet neighborhood, the view, the surrounding beaches, easy access to Volcanoes Park and the eastern side of the Big Island made our short stay very enjoyable. The attention of the owners was greatly appreciated. We used some of the recommendations provided and loved all of them. Highly recommend!
We had a great stay at the Hilo Beach House Inn. Before arriving the property manager was quick to respond to my questions and provide all needed information. This property is off the beaten path on a private road with a gated entrance. It is surrounded on 3 sides by beautiful lush foliage and the back side of the property borders Onekahakaha Beach Park with a view of the ocean. The room was spotless, and it is evident great care has been taken to maintain this special property. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony each morning in a quiet and relaxing setting. The rental included use of a keurig, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, and shower toiletries.We utilized the utility box on the lower level which offered beach chairs, snorkel equipment, and flotation devices. There is a path directly to the beach from this rental.Highly recommend this beautiful property!
Very clean well decorated rooms. Very quiet and private. The grounds are well maintained. Just a short walk to the beach at the park. We would definitely stay there again.
Nice quality unit in very good condition. Good location for exploring the east side of the island as well as for visiting Volcano National Park. It is also very close to good restaurants in Hilo. The management was very attentive. We would definitely stay here again for this side of the island.
The owner Chris of this property is very dishonest. He listed on Expedia and charged total including services and city tax upon booking through Expedia. But he then charged another larger amount for services and city tax again upon check-in. That means he charged twice and the second time he charged even larger than the amount listed on Expedia. It doesn’t stop there. He also charged security of $250 but delayed refund with excuses. This happened to me. Now I requested refund of over charge for services and city tax at check-in and the amount for security deposit but haven’t seen any. So be aware this guy and avoid to stay on his property at the best.
Comfortable and quiet describe this gem of an inn in Hilo. Rooms are well-appointed. We enjoyed the screened-in balcony (with an ocean view)for morning breakfast and evening game playing. Convenient location for day trips to Volcanoes National Park. Our only wish was that we had been there on a salsa night!
Spacious, clean, comfortable and very well designed for 2 people to relax and spread out. Lovely screened lanai overlooking the parking lot and pubic beach. We were there during the week and it was quiet and fun to watch families enjoying the beach. The shower in the bathroom is quite outstanding! Location is good…ten minutes to both the airport and to downtown Hilo and the Farmer’s Market! Rooms are on the second floor so stairs are required. Easier to find the first time during daylight . We plan on returning next year, happily!
