Hilltop Tavern and Inn - Resort hotel in Apple Valley - 9544 Kiowa Rd, USA

I've never eaten here ...only go for the music. They have transformed their live music "room" into an amazing space. Sound is amazing. And I'm sure once it warms back up, the wall might come down to an amazing view of the city below. Drinks are kinda pricey. the bartenders are extremely nice, security is top notch. Just a great atmosphere.

This place suited my needs just perfect.! Quaint. Clean, everything worked perfect and if you have ever stayed it the desert you know how much air conditioning is Inmportant.! AC was very quite and Chilly. I slept like a baby.! No noise from others nor could I hear anything from the Tavern. I will stay again and recommend to my friends.

Great bar with a new owner that dosent know how to run a bar. It's now a concert hall with 3 bars, 3 great bartenders, no bar backs. A doorman checking people in and giving out wristbands, a manager that walked around a lot. (Didn't see him help out a lot but he did buy drinks for his buddy's) I did see bartenders running to other bars for beer that they didn't have.

Positive: It was clean and had a beautiful scenic view. Negative: The tile was ripped and looked to not be professionally installed. The map that was sent wasn't very clear.

The bar and food ordering table, and entrance into music venue are all within a few feet away from one another. Congestion making it difficult to order, this makes a clusterfuk. There are are no waitresses so your forced to be in clusterfuc. The food was terrible. Macaroni & cheese was cakey and dry. Coleslaw tasted like it sat under sun all day. Reeked of Cigar smoke. Just bad . Im usually very generous with stars but this was terrible. First time back since remodel. Liked it here years ago.

The people that work there that we encountered were really nice. Check in was quick and easy when we stayed. The housekeeper did an excellent job taking care of the room each day. The manager was also great and checked on us throughout or stay. Was really impressed with all of the staff. Amazing views as well. All of that was great however, the owners are awful and because of that, I would never stay here again. Won't go into what happened but just know if you address the owners about an issue, they really do not or maybe they were too drunk to care.

To be fair they eventually offered me a refund, which I didn't need because I was already refunded by the booking agency. I showed up around 10pm to check-in for lodging. It was closed with a note on the door saying they close at 5pm even though I have an email confirmation saying to check in before 11:30pm. I called their emergency number on door multiple times to no response. After hours of driving we had to go stay at a Motel 6.
