Inside the exclusive Bal Harbour Mall you find this excellent American restaurant with well prepared signature dishes like French Dip Au Jus and Carolina Barbecue Beef Ribs. Desserts are always worth trying: Hot Fudge Sundae or Tres Leches. Service is outstanding and the ambiance is very classy. Highly recommended!

Oh, where do I even begin with Hillstone? This restaurant deserve a constellation of stars! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for an extraordinary, dining experience. The food, the food, the food!! The Osaka style press sushi took us on a flavor journey we never expected. Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to describe it. Now let’s not forget the Carolina style beef ribs. They were so tender and succulent, we couldn’t help but feel like royalty devouring them. The desserts were the perfect finale to an already mind blowing meal. Trust me, you don’t want to miss them. The drinks were equally impressive -expertly crafted. Service was always on point. Never missed a beat. This is a must visit for foodies.

I’ve been to the east coast sister restaurant, Houston’s, but have to say I’ve started to like Hillstone a bit more due to the menu options. Seating at the bar is super easy if you arrive by 7 and you’re helped by some of the best bartenders. I had interactions with Stella and Roman when visiting on separate occasions and I always am met with a welcoming smile and friendly service. Pictured are the bar seating table settings, deviled eggs, nigiri plate, caesar salad, French dip sandwich (must have) and the key lime pie. Everything was just as delicious as the pictures. Note that everything comes out a different times or can be asked to come out together which is nice. It was great for sharing with others. Overall, if you’re in Bal Harbour and want something good to eat, Hillstone is a solid option due to its consistency and modern ambiance.

An all time favorite. This restaurant and Houstons are related. So if you like one you'll love the other. If you're not familiar I would call it a sophisticated American bistro. Today I asked for a cheeseburger open face and extra crispy fries. They nailed it for me.

Ate here twice, mostly in 2019. The food is exceptional. When we last went our party of four got the ribs, a roast sandwich, and 2 dishes with shrimp. Both times the service was impeccable and you get a great view of the fine automobiles and when you look out form the bar you feel like you’re on an island 🏝 with all the trees. Easily one of my top two restaurants in Miami, and I was brown here. I look forward to trying another tequila next time I’m around. The dresser there is fantastic by the way!

Everything I tried was excellent. I shared the nigiri, tuna tartar, and artichoke with my boyfriend, and it was all amazing. If the artichoke is available when you go, make sure to try it! After we shared the trout entre and the server was nice enough to let us substitute the kale salad as our side (also excellent). Atmosphere was subdued, not as hectic as the Coral Gables location ( I was actually surprised we were seated right away. At the Coral Gables location there are always people waiting outside). Definitely a little pricey, but the food is tasty and high quality. Not unworthy of a splurge now and then.

Xavier was one of the most phenomenal servers I’ve ever had. I came here for my friend’s birthday not knowing what to expect 🥳. Well as I go back to New York, Xavier and the team at Hillstone at Bal Harbour have left an unforgettable impression. Thank you all for amazing service and food.
