The meat pie was very filling. I found the prices of drinks to be expensive. The food was good and the hostess was kind and friendly. The space is pretty small and can seat about 10 people. It gets pretty crowded when people are coming to order for pick up. So I will say it is not an ideal sit in to dine in place. I will recommend order out. The food prices are reasonable. I did not particularly enjoy the goat pepper soup as the meat was small chunks. The meat-pie tasted good and the portion was great.
Best Jollof rice. Perfect flavor. Definitely going to come back. This is how real Jollof rice tastes like 👍
ok, first of all. i’m obsessed. secondly, went here late night w two friends after leaving Native b/c the music was too loud & we wanted to catch up. found Hills on google maps & thankful we did b/c they were hungry & it was late, 11pm late. anyway, this place is absolutely delish. it was my first time having African food. i was a little scared not going to lie, i love texture & i was under the impression African food was soft however im addicted! the atmosphere felt very traditional, nothing over the top but im here for it. when in Roman, you what? the flavor though? out of this world. i’m about to order the jollof rice & chicken on Uber Eats right now! the rice was spicy & i live for spicy food & the chicken was smothered. i’m a country girl, hello! so i love smothered food. thank you for not only broadening my palate but my mind too. being black is so expansive & this food reminded me of that.
My son and I visited NYC last weekend. My son wanted to try West African food. He found this place on our travels. It was excellent. Staff was friendly. I now can add fufu to my list of loved foods.
Chicken was old and dry, as were the plantains. Jollof rice was underwhelming. Paid for stew sauce on the side and was given about three tablespoons full. Everything was over salted. Have eaten a lot of African/Nigerian and love it so was looking forward to this, was really disappointed.
Stopped by Hills Kitchen with a Nigerian friend and was met by two friendly Nigerians who spoke with my friend in their local Igbo language, which helped me choose the food. It turned out that one of the Nigerians is the owner, who was attentive. We ordered a spicy and tasty soup and it came with yam fufu, and I had the Orijin drink.
Super small portion for soup only. Everything about this store is just small portions. THE GREEN PLACE is the best Nigerian restaurant in Brooklyn, and they give you 3 times the amount with better flavors
So basically, $17 For mostly rice and and a little bit of meat because there was more fat than meat BUT the rice was amazing, the flavors were great!!..... Service was terrible. After waiting so long to get napkins and a $2.50 can of soda, the lady was touching the screen with food on her hands and no gloves. Then I thought about it we basically finished majority of the food... Not meant for dining in

This is the best Brooklyn Portuguese egg tart outside of Xin Fa in sunset park! The lattes I get here are my favorite in Williamsburg as well. Itâs more suited for grab and go than working, but thereâs a lovely space to relax in. The owner is a

What a great addition to the neighborhood! I've visited a few times and I love the cocktails, the ambiance, and the friendly bartenders. And the food, too, especially the appetizers! My workplace had our holiday happy hour here, and The Canary team
I must say up front: besides my own impressions after enjoying this place myself, I also know the owner very well. Although, this fact only helps this review, giving a full picture. The reason behind it is that I know what the owner's values are. Amo
