Hillcrest Inn - Featured Reviews (64)
Small quiet property. I’ve read some of the reviews, and being a small business owner myself, I know how cruel and unforgiving people can be. I think the rooms are decent, our room has two beds, a dresser , tv, a sitting chair, mini fridge, microwave, a breakfast table with two chairs and nice towels in the bathroom. It smells fresh and compared to motel 6 down the road at double the price. This place was more than reasonable! Nice wood floors, def would stay here again !
My boyfriend, who is a veteran, was treated unfairly. He was intruded upon in his room because he asked the front desk if he could use a mop. The receptionist, Pat, pushed her way into his room while he pleaded with her to allow him to clean up a soda spill(no carpet). He was never offered clean towels, nor was he offered toiletries. He paid for two weeks. What type of business treats wartime veterans like this? When we would call the front office to ask for anything, we were always told no. There is no ice machine on the premises, nor are there any polite staff. They were also rude about his service pet. Pat had plenty to say about his animal while she cleaned up his spill the second day he was there.
Wifi is very poor. Beds are uncomfortable. Door does not seal correctly when closed. Sink in bathroom does not drain well. There is a kitchenette. No soap, shampoo, hair dryer, laundry, gym, pool. Very cheap place to stay because you don't get much.
Went into see if they had availability, the lady at the front asked me for what day. I told her tomorrow (2/29/2024) without even looking at anything she tells me “oh probably not!” Then proceed’s to ask me how many people. I told her myself and my 4 children. Then she tell’s me “yeah definitely not, the rooms are not meant for children to stay in.” So, if you have children and if you are passing through DO NOT TRY and stay here. Since apparently it’s not meant to accommodate children.
Worst place to stay in kerrville. I had to fix the toilet twice myself. Unplug the TV box to allow it to reprogram in order to get anything. The internet was so slow you may as well write a letter. I located a pool but it's simply a cement pond full of green slime. ( they didn't advertise one, but why not clean it up and use it). Never got a refresh of clean towels. Showed curtain hooks fell off at the slightest movement. Never again. Spend a bit more and have a place to actually relax.
The room was small but very clean. It was quaint. Restroom was outdated but cute. Paint in the walls was fresh. Bedding was fresh. There was a fridge and microwave but no ironing board/iron. The restroom only had one set of towels and I didn’t feel like going to the office to get more. The a/c was cool but It was loud. It stayed on for about 3 minutes then cut out for 1 minute. It repeated that way the whole night. The lady in the office was nice and efficient. We asked to see the room before we decided to stay. This business has potential to become a great place. I hope to return to see it in better shape overall. I give it 3.5 stars.
The room size was great. Bathroom is small and no ventilation, so there's mold/mildew spots on ceiling and higher up on walls. There are small cook tops however ours did not work. Mini fridge and microwave also in room. Overall, nice experience.
The lady at the front desk was absolutely rude and inconsiderate. she sat there and watched us and continued to ignore us. The room was a disaster and gross. It smelled disgusting and nothing worked. If I could I would rate them less that one star. Im never going there again. They really need to replace her because no telling how many customers they have lost due to this girl.
My Wife and I recently stayed at the CarltonCub Inn. We really enjoyed our stay. The Manager, Jamy, was fantastic. We highly recommend the Carlton Club Inn.!!!
A great place to visit for your own spiritual journey or to take the family. It is accessible for the handicap , wide sidewalks, but very hilly. It may be difficult for older folks to walk up the hill without help. Great exercise for the rest of us.
