Perfect gem just on the outside of Reading. Friendly owners & great atmosphere, quickly felt like a regular. Delicious coffees with accurate taste notes. Glad we bought beans for the road.

Great place for coffee and conversation. We recently moved to the area and we’re looking for a low key coffee place. We stumbled on HillRoad and went there solely based on reviews. We were not disappointed. They have a relatively small selection but that’s okay when everything is so good. They do pour over coffee so not really a place to go if you’re in a rush but definitely worth the short wait. They also rotate work from local artists, which is pretty cool.

Highly recommended. Bottom line, the coffee I bought was freshly roasted this week and it tasted amazing. I prefer light roasts that are usually a little harder to find. I typically brew with an aeropress. The organic light/med roast Ethiopian Guji is absolutely delicious. I will be back!

Went to an art event here given by Susan Blakely. Ordered coffee and im thinking Dude what's taking so long. Lol. It is worth the wait as my PA Dutch self had the best coffee I've had in a long time if not ever. Why would you want to be 9 deep in the Starbucks corbon monoxide parade. Come here Have a seat. I have been getting whole bean coffee from HRCR for years. There's a good selection of the beans from Central America, with some Brazil, Ethiopian and Papua New Guinea to cover Southern and Eastern hemispheres as well. If you get to talking with the owner, I'm sure you can get some hints on getting the best for your beans and brewing as well.

If you like a well balanced cup of coffee, and want a pour over of a light roast, this is the local spot for it. A great vibe for specialty coffee!

Fyi I'm one of those weird "coffee" people that NEEDS caramel or hazelnut added to it.... except if I get a latte here. You will not taste any latte better in the area than this place. I get mine with oat milk instead of regular.
