Hill City Café - American restaurant in Hill City - 209 Main St, USA

Pretty Decent food, average prices for the area, a hill city local favorite for most and it's open all year round. Our server a young lady named Toya was great. Attentive and very sweet. Kinda hot inside and flies buzzing around at times but with a full bar and open windows it makes sense. Salad bar and daily specials, and a great combo platter! Baked goods and huge rolls!

Not super great. I got a wrap and it was fine. However my wife and father-in-law got chicken and a sandwich and they looked terrible. We asked for special requests and none of them were honored. Just take a look at the mustard picture. That's basically what our experience was. Our server was super young (like it seemed she was 12) and had a terrible attitude. She sighed everytime she came to our table and we didn't even say anything to her. Terrible attitude, she had no idea what was going on, and made our experience even worse.

Everything about this place is cool. Exactly what you would expect for Hill City. And great food. We had breakfast there. Opted for the all you can eat since it was ready. They had everything you would expect for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, two kinds of sausage, bacon, omelettes, pancakes and french toast. And fruit, etc. Everything was great!

The place was very busy and the food took a long time to get. The server didn't come back to our table to offer drink refills. She just handed the food and walked away. When it's busy choose the specials otherwise you'll have a long wait.

We drove to Hill City on a Sunday to have lunch at the Cafe. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant. But she got everyone taken care on and the food came to the table hot and very tasty. If you are tired of Rapid City Restaurants try taking a little trip to Hill City.

It was really great. The food was hot and the portions were adequate for the price. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Nice little local bar that is part of the Cafe actually. Bar is small but lots of indoor seating. They have all you can eat ribs, salad bar and full menu. Staff is great and friendly. Like I said I thought this was a bar restaurant but really it's the Cafe with a small bar attached. Either way cool place to grab a beer, dinner or both.

Our waitress was fenominal and she kept our coffee full and service steady all while walking her daughter to school. Dedicated! The food was very good and unique menu items. I ordered the breakfast Burrito and my wife had bacon and 2 eggs and everything was fast and friendly service even though they could tell we weren't locals. I would highly recommend this place!
