This tucked away, not so known Mesa park has amazing city views! Great for bringing a picnic too.
I had my fifth birthday party there, I'm over 60 now. It's just a truly unique and beautiful place. The view of SB and are beautiful mountains is unprecedented. The live oak trees have been there since long long before I was even born. This park is historical, beautiful and family-oriented. A jewel.
What a great little hidden park! If you think you've known all the parks in Santa Barbara you might have missed this one. It's up Flora Vista up by fellowship road and it's a very cute small park with a beautiful view of the city. There is a playground and bathrooms and barbecues.
A hidden gem. Hilda Ray is a great neighborhood park on a steep slope with a small parking lot, playground, picnic tables, bbq's, a group picnic site, and bathrooms. All of which comes with an impressive view of the Santa Barbara valley.
Great park. Shady tables
This park is very poorly maintained but has so much potential. A great place to enjoy the views and the magnificent birds of prey however there is no ADA accessibility and the playground is falling apart and very dirty in some areas.
Hilda Ray Park is a jewel in the Santa Barbara city park system. A tiny slice of beauty hanging on a hill on the back side of the Mesa. The park overlooks parts of the city below. Generous oak trees give shade to well placed picnic tables and sloping grass lead to a fun kids play area. I love to have lunch there and look out across Santa Barbara to the mountains opposite. Since it is the tiniest park and up at the dead end of a residential street, there isn't much parking, so I would not plan a party there. When I feel the urge to be quiet and contemplative, a beautiful place to be is Hilda Ray Park.
Very nice, small park, with a beautiful view of Santa Barbara - the Mission and the Monastery, the hills covered with homes nestled into the trees... Picnic tables, a play area for kids, and a small parking lot. The park itself slopes down a hill, so be careful - there is a windy path down from the parking lot.

A massive park with incredible hiking and recreation options. Costs money to enter on weekends (and was told cash only). Epic views on top of mountains overlooking the ocean and the whole city. A sight worth seeing.
Great park in the hills above Santa Barbara. Several hilly trails that take you around to the beginning. Beautiful views. Watch out for Rattlers and be prepared to hike uphill!
Nice park and beach. Beach has a bit of driftwood, but not a problem. Water is swimmable, surf was much lower than other beaches closer to Malibu. Plenty of parking available - $18 per day.
The best place ever for any type of festivity, and festival, really nice people. Crashing into a party may be challenging but worth it. Depending on the type of party holding a can of beer (an empty one works) helps to be seen as a valid guest.
Beautiful and quiet. You will need to descend to get to the beach that has a rocky part but manageable - just be careful when walking. We visited on 1/2/23 so the weather wasn't so great due to the pineapple express system that was moving through,

The best F45 I've been to. Class was packed with almost 50 members. All the coaches, specifically Coach Katrina, found time to motivate and challenge me through one of the best workouts I've had in months.
