I have always preferred ACE Hardware over the two big box hardware chains. I like how you are usually greeted at the door and given directions to where you need to go. I like being sought out and asked if I need help. This ACE does none of those things. No friendly smiles, no "helpful hardware man" (to quote their old jingle). The quality of service that distinguishes ACE from HD and Lowe's is not to be found at this location. If I want to be ignored, I might as well go to the big box stores.
Looks like they got some new staff, the woman at the front was really helpful and knew how to answer my questions. Kind of a breath of fresh air. Thank you!
Spend close to $200 and had to urgently use the bathroom. Was told to beat it. I'm done with this place. NOT EVERYONES TRYING TO SHOOT UP/STEAL IN BATHROOMS.
Can someone please help this poor cashier there is always only one man at the register and a huge line, it takes forever to get in and out of this place.
Rude and lazy employees. Site said a part was in stock. Employee refused to look for it in the back, just told me they don’t have it. Either update your stock or look for it. You are being paid to do your job, do it.
I tried. After a few poor experiences I kept coming back but not again. They were never fast, or cheap, or have a great selection, but they are the closest store to me that has tools. But when it comes to getting help, they are the worst. When they wasted my time and ruined my weekend by refusing to copy I had ordered, paid for, and waited for a week to arrive. I was there well before closing, but apparently the staff was too busy with closing duties to even consider helping me, or even apologize.
good sales going on for father's day. Staff is friendly. Well organized store.
Ace is super convenient - you're probably going here because it's much closer than the big box home improvement stores. The trade-off is less selection, but for routine stuff they have almost everything you need and it's quick to shop and get back to your project. My favorite thing is the bins in back - nearly any screw, bolt, nut, furniture parts, springs, etc are available. They also have a lot of great services like window screen making/repair. Aside from selection the only other trade-off is pricing tends to be higher than the big boxes but if you sign up for Ace Rewards there's a lot of coupons which can make for some good deals.
