Highland Sam J. Racadio Library & Environmental Learning Center (San Bernardino County) - Public library in Highland - 7863 Central Ave, USA

We just moved to the area from CO. This library structure is relatively new, ample parking. We'll organized books shelves by genre and alphabetical. The front desk and reference staff are very 0leasant and helpful. Enough areas to sit down and read or work. Could definitely do with more private study rooms, currently just 1 on 1st come and use. There is a very nice separate children's section with live pet household animals, snakes, fishes and birds- quiet unique for a library but very entertaining for kids. Restrooms are clean. Copier and printer available (15c/page for b/w and 50c/page for color) The wifi is free to use, but is quite slow- see pic of my speed test.

Love this library, so clean and activities for the kids. They also have the animal exhibit. So peaful then behind it has a big playground space for the kids.

Its a nice library, but it's loud! Always loud. People talking loud, kids screaming, playing music on cellphones, etc. Employees walk around and don't say anything to anyone. If you're looking for a quiet place to study, don't go there. Find somewhere else.

Highland branch Library is our go to Library for sure! Super friendly employees and it's very well maintained. The staff are also super helpful. This Library has many things to keep younger kids engaged. Like their live animals and fun kid area. So come out and support them because they have so many books that need to be checked out.

Love the kids programs. Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:30 am for 0-5 years old. Some stuff on Wednesday evening also for the 6-12 year olds but I can't remember those exact times. The seperate kids section is so great. Live animals, lots of adventurous sitting areas for you to enjoy and read with your children. Kids computer for toddlers and elementary aged kids. Adult computers so you can get you work done while they are entertained also. A great adults section with a big computer lab, and private study room. There is just many great things to say about this library. A seperate cafe area with a vending machine for drinks and one for snacks. This is the only area food is allowed and I don't mind that as it keeps the library clean. Always air conditioned which makes it so comfortable if maybe you are waiting for the bus or need a cool center to relax. Bus stop right in front so that is great too.
