We were very pleased with our recent stay at this inn. Our room was a bit larger than the usual hotel room. We had adequate seating with a sofa and a chair. It was good to have two sinks, a fridge and a microwave. The balcony added a bit more light to the room and a good place to sit outside for a few minutes. The breakfast is minimal as I expected but with enough variety…hardboiled eggs, breads, sweet rolls, cereals, juice and coffee. It was convenient when unloading our vehicle right outside our room. Our room was serviced each day. This was a good choice for our visit to Townsend.

Great experience! Located on a hill facing the Smokey Mountains, the grounds are lovely and the friendly, professional staff are wonderful! It is family owned, and they take pride in their place! The rooms are attractive, clean, comfortable, and very quiet; the hotel was booked to capacity, yet once inside our room, we never heard a sound from those around us, upstairs or down. They provide a tasty continental breakfast, or you can walk to the restaurant just across the street. Special thanks to Kim, Sandy, and Chloe for all the help and for making us feel right at home! See you soon!||The Petersons

We stay in Townsend a few times a year and decided to give this place a try after being disappointed with the chain hotel next door, and a few others. The rooms are super cute and clean. I despise carpet in hotels and was so happy this place has hard floors. We stayed in 219 and loved being able to back our vehicle up to the front door for loading/unloading. The young lady that worked the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely stay here again for our future trips.

We’ve been staying at the Highland Manor for some number of years now. We like to take our motorcycle and putt through the beautiful mountain roads. This was the first year we stayed over the Independence Day holiday. The Townsend celebration was totally awesome. Truly Americana at its finest. We always find pleasant people in Townsend. Locals and visitors alike. The Highland Manor is a nice motel style place to stay. The rooms are super neat and tidy. Beds are very comfortable. If you’re looking for the latest technology and most up to date decor, this is not your place. But if you want a very nice and clean room, comfortable bed, super friendly people, a wonderful free continental breakfast and a very nice swimming pool.. all nestled smack dab in the middle of the Appalachian foothills…. this indeed IS your place. May peace be with you and His blessings shine upon you! Glory to the Highest!

Very quiet location with clean rooms and an excellent location for exploring "The Quiet Side" of the Park area. I stayed 2 nights while enjoying Cades Cove area. Breakfast is just pastry and cereal, but there is a grocery and several restaurants available nearby, so plan accordingly.

Very clean, very quiet area and the staff was so nice. I met Ms. Sandy the owner and she was super sweet! It was impressive that they close the office during church hours! They built this hotel in 1982 and are still going strong! We have already booked next year! Very nice place to stay. We visited there for the Smokey Mt Nationals Truck Show.

This is our first time staying here. If you are looking for a place to stay that is quiet and peaceful. This is your place. The staff is very friendly. The only complaint is the pool needs cleaning. The toilet is very low to the floor. Other than that the place is great.

Perfect place to stay. Great value. Rooms are clean and large. Staff always friendly and helpful. Scenery galore and very quiet. My wife and I have been going there for over 25 years and will continue to stay there. It is indeed the quiet side of the Mountains.
