The rooms are a little dated, but that seems to be the norm for the age of the resort and area. The amenities are great! Lots of activities and equipment provided to enjoy the lake. The grounds do feel very peaceful. The swimming area is very nice and sandy. There are plenty of floats and noodles to have a good time.
A most welcome surprise! Older motel that has been renovated and well maintained while being turned into a resort. Room was well furnished, but not over done… very comfortable and clean. The property with the lake in the background is like a postcard. Highly recommend!
I lived in Bridgton for several years. We were back visiting friends. I've stayed here before and it's changed quite a bit. First thing my wife noticed was 2 wet and used wash cloths in the bathroom. The floors seemed to be covered in sand or grit. We had to wipe our feet off before climbing into bed. Paper thin walls let us hear our neighbors cell phone conversations. On a positive note, the location on Highland Lake was great. Close to town.
Stayed a couple nights while attending a photography class in the area. Didn’t really have time to enjoy all the amenities of the lake side resort. There are two saunas near the gym. One is a small traditional Finnish/Swedish sauna and the other infrared. I used the infrared one. Very relaxing. There’s a shower to rinse off. ||My room was on the backside and very quiet. Room was roomy with two double/queen beds, mini fridge and microwave, tub and bathtub combo. There are chairs right outside the door which are nice to sit and enjoy the view of the property.
Absolutely loved our stay at Highland Lakes resort! Traveled with 3 generations of family and we all had a great time. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, so my dad couldn't hang out at the lake, but he enjoyed just sitting on the porch. The rest of us swam every day, even in the rain and made the most of the week.
My wife found 2 dirty wet washcloths in the bathroom when we checked in. The floors had sand or some kind of grit on them. We had to wipe this off our feet before getting into bed. The walls were paper thin to the point we could listen to our neighbors cell conversations. The best thing was the location close to town.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms and property are older, but very clean.
Lake in back is nice with lots of fun amenities for families with children. As seniors we didn’t use them, but enjoyed the lake views. Not much in Bridgton for us to do, but Conway is close by. We visited the east coast about 40 miles away.
Shower stall in our room was very small. Room was about 50 yards from heavily traveled road and traffic noise was very irritating, had to keep a/c unit running to cover up noise.
A great spot for a family vacation. Accommodations are clean, staff is friendly; most(?) rooms have small fridges, some even have a stove/oven, microwave, and a few pots and pans, plates, cups AND dishsoap + sponge (IMO it's a little tight to cook a full meal but decent for basic stuff like Mac and Cheese or a few eggs in the morning). For outdoor eating there is a lovely lakefront BBQ area (bring charcoal). Nectars smoothie Cafe (yum) is adjacent to the building. We go with a couple families and the first night we grill out and the second we order pizza.
The resort has all sorts of kayaks & paddleboards on hand for use. Sometimes our friends bring their own paddle boards as well. 1 year we brought our sunfish sailboat. Some of our more athletic friends will sometimes do distance swims (with buoy of course). In case of rain there is a rec room in the main building with some games, pong pong.
Bridgton town is a very short drive, or walk. There is a cafe, movie theater, bookstore, chocolate shop, Reny's, Lunker's bait shop. The town of Naples is not far either, where you'll find More restaurants, a handful with gorgeous use of the water. You can also rent motor and pontoon boats and/or waterskis and tubes from a couple places in the Naples marina - makes for a great day on the water (check local rules for getting qualified to drive said boat, it's pretty straightforward).

If you're looking for a local business that cares about both its customers and quality - the Chocolate Haus is it. Great place to go for gifts or something for yourself. They won me over when I first stopped into the Bridgton store - and I'll continu
We had crispy pork gyoza, and crunchy shrimp tempura. Yum! The place was packed, the staff was hustling, people were waiting to get in. We were lucky to get two seats at the counter. Weâll get sushi next time when itâs not so busy. Loved the rock
As first-time visitors to Pleasant Mountain Ski Resort, we were thrilled with our experience! From the moment we arrived, the process was seamless and inviting. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the first-time ski lessons. Instructors Taylor
One scoop goes a long way! Hope you have self control if you're on a diet because the portions are big! I got moose tracks, because I saw a moose that day, and it was full of peanut butter and chocolate goodness.

We went to Black Horse Tavern because of it's reputation for preparing gluten free meals. It was even better than the 5-stars that we had heard. Nick was extraordinarily welcoming! All of our meals were outstanding - one in our group said that the fi
A group of five of us came here for breakfast, visiting from SC. We can't brag enough about how great this place was! I started with pumpkin spice latte followed by the homemade corned beef hash and cheese grits! Oh my gosh it was scrumptious, these
