This is one of those places that I have passed by a lot of times and finally visited. It's interesting to see what the highest point in Ohio looks like and to say that I've been there. It does have some interesting history and has some historical markers that explains it.
I revisited this site to show a friend the highest point. Not breathtaking, by any means, but notable. There is as small brick wall with a rock raised just an inch or 2 above the walk, presumably the actual highest point. There is also a sign with some story pertaining to the site. The view is maybe a hundred feet or so above some of the other surrounding area. One can see a newish truck stop from this point.
Fun place to stop. Also has a bit about the old Air Force post that used to be there. It’ll be interesting to see how they further develop that.
VERY unique among the 50 state high points. Many are on private property, but this is the only one on an educational institution. Been here three times. Away from the vo-tech educational buildings, you literally drive right up to this one. There is a marker, a flagpole, and a small register. The Coast Guard owns property here as well and a radar museum is slated to open in the near future. Took a star away for a total lack of hiking trails (though you could still run down the hill and back up--just don't sled down if you are not a student there, though). You can fill yourself out a certificate once you get there and show your friends and family!
Several nice touches at this state high point make this a great visit. The marble marker and stamp is nicely preserved and sits at the center of the area. There is an official state landmark sign with some historical information. Two benches have been provided so that you can take in the view. And finally there is a visitor log stashed in a drawer. Note that this location also includes the highest navigable road in Ohio.
Not an exciting or interesting place to visit, unless you really want to visit the highest point in Ohio. I've heard of this "peak" all my life so I had to visit. I had fun... Even in the rain and cold and very low visibility. The historical signs are ok, but nothing to drive far for. Visit if you know how to create your own excitement. I do! Be sure to read some of the other reviews. Several are very good and have additional useful information.
Sort of a bucket list item more than anything else. I get to say I was the tallest person in Ohio for just a few minutes. As another reviewer said, it is well done for what it is. I was more impressed with the history of the area surrounding the site dating to the Second World War and beyond. I recommend this visit to anyone, even if you're just driving through Bellefontaine and have a few minutes to get off the exit and say you stood at the tallest point in our great state.
A quiet and beautiful space which basically looks like a big hill. Handicap accessible - you park and it's just a few steps to it. Make sure to look for a mailbox by the walkway entrance, and fill out your own "Highest Point" certificate! Totally fun! Go and enjoy!

This park is very nice. We had a pavilion and even though it was almost 80 degrees outside it was cool under the pavilion. Thereâs basketball courts and playgrounds for the kids. Thereâs also a track if you like walking. Thereâs also grills at
Great food and great service! Will definitely come here again. The three dip is a great choice, but I don't really feel the Salsa is worthy of paying for alone. I've had better free salsa and chips elsewhere. But I digress back to the review. Overall
Today I experienced something that most assuredly will leave me with a core memory and has been an indefinite and definining moment of my lifetime. I will never fail to remember my waffle house experience. So I shall share this following chronicle of

Awesome little park to spend the day! We packed a lunch, had a picnic and had a blast! It's very kiddo friendly! Lots to occupy the older and younger ones. This one is going on our favorite list and we will be back again!
This place is definitely our go-to lunch break. Sunday serve times might be a little slow during lunch because they get slammed. Food is always good and served with a smile.
