High Side! Bar & Grill - Bar & grill in Salida - 300 W Sackett Ave, USA

I had a lovely lunch at High Side while sitting outside near the Arkansas River. For appetizers, I really enjoyed the cauliflower wings and buffalo chicken wings. Both were well-prepared and served in delicious buffalo sauces and bleu cheese on the side. I also would recommend the fried pickles, which also tasted surprisingly delicious and was served with a special sauce on the side. For my entree, I ordered the chicken salad croissant. This included the chicken salad, lettuce, and tomato on a croissant with a side of fries. It tasted excellent blended together really well. The service was also good and I enjoyed the overall environment and scenic river view. I give High Side my full recommendation.

Great Bar and grill. Fantastic atmosphere. A live band was setting up for Saturday evening music just as I was leaving. The food was delicious and hit the spot.. the staff was great, friendly and Very quick! A great experience. The buffalo wings were fantastic.

This was our first time at high side and it did not disappoint! The service was incredible very attentive. Recommend the lemon pepper honey wings were amazing! Super great flavor! The cheese curds are super delicious as well. My wife and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Nice place that has views of the river. Multiple areas to sit at outside close to the river, another outside area with heaters and covered top, and then finally indoors. Wait staff was quick and friendly. Only complaint I had was l ordered appetizers and then our food, the apps came out with our food, all very quickly. However it would have been nice to have the apps first and then main food about 10 mins later. Good gyro and burgers! Limited dessert choices.

The food here is amazing! Try the cheese curds, so good especially on a cold day! Go dressed for warmth in case there isn't space inside the main dining area, you will get cold in the back open area (especially if you're going during dinnertime.) Can't miss with their burger or wings! I recommend their adult hot chocolate and definitely get the sweet potato fries! They were playing live music the night we went and it was fantastic!

This is a great place! We loved that it was seat yourself, dog friendly, and had great food. The service was fast, the atmosphere was amazing, and the pricing was very reasonable for the area. Seating your self was nice because we chose a spot by the river to watch the tubers and rafters through the water park section of the river. I posted pictures of the Burger I got and the menu. I got a burger of the day (Green chili with jalapeños), and my friends got the falafel sandwich, a euro, and the normal burger. They were perfect sizes and very tasty. A special call out- after we sat ourselves, the waitress brought us water and a dog bowl filled with water within a minute of us sitting down. The next drinks arrived within two minutes. Our entire meal went like that. They used the entire staff instead of one person - It’s incredible service.

Super friendly staff who seem to enjoy hanging with each other and don't just serve customers, they engage them! If you want to feel welcome, go there! Love Drew the bartender! The food was fresh, tasty and timely. Eat a pickled egg to start off.

Several great options for vegetarian diets here. The day we visited we just had a snack, so shared the hummus plate. It was delicious! The pita was warm and soft, without being chewy - the best we've ever had! Hummus was yummy, too. We sat in the lower patio area because we had our dog with us + others in our group bringing food from a different place. Our server was very flexible for us to do this since no spaces open in the adjacent river walk area. We really appreciated their graciousness. Patio tables are well spaced and most have some shade. Beautiful area to complement the great food! We will definitely be back for a full meal when we return to Collegiate Peaks!
