Very unique old school video arcade located in Alameda's busiest commercial district. Pay for unlimited plays for a certain amount of time.
Decent selection of games range from the oldies like centipede and Pac-Man and Tron up to somewhere more modern racing and fighting games.
Not enough space for the big crowd-pleasing games that you would find at Santa Cruz boardwalk, for example. They have a few cabinets with dozens of games you can select from on ROMs.
It is small and has a couple of seats and a bathroom in the back. Parking is difficult on park street, but you can easily find parking for pay or free a few blocks down.
This quaint little place is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. It’s a straight throwback to my childhood with dozens of retro games that I haven’t seen since the 80’s. If you are going to go make sure to bring a friend or parent who loves retro games because you will blow their minds and will absolutely make their day.
Wonderful place to take the family and revive my video game glory!
The staff does a fantastic job of keeping up the arcade cabinets. We spend hours here every time we visit Alameda!
"I love High Scores Arcade...it's so baaaad" ;)
If you're looking for an opportunity to revisit your childhood, share your childhood experience with your children, or just experience a legendary interactive arcade museum, this is the place to be! 👍👍👍
This place is such a gem. Older arcade games and affordable cost! They have a machine that has a variety of games including my favorite, Bubble Bobble! Took my teenager there and she was mesmerized. Pay in cash, and no outside food. The attendant was incredibly helpful.
An awesome place to experience retro games. Great selection and variety and the vibe is pretty chill and relaxed. Highly recommend
A fun trip back to the 80s - restored classic arcade games on free play and a jukebox playing period-correct tunes. Great atmosphere, all-ages. Good value for $6/hr admission.
Edit: 11/2023 - price increased (but that's happening everywhere). They have changed up their lineup some, including a couple of custom built arcade games. Oregon trail & super smash bros! Still a great value and a ton of fun.
The value of this place is amazing. Great place to game with some friends or even a fun date. The really cool factor is that you can get your name on the high score board. They have monthly high scores and all time.
I was eating across the street and noticed Pinball Museum sign. I'm always very curious, so I walked in and was blown away.
More than what I imagined. Cashier explained everything in detail and broke down pricing and gave me a brief description and
The drip coffee was bold and had good flavor. My wife liked her matcha latte. We also had an Ube Mochi cake which was amazing. The staff were friendly and quick. Iâll be coming back here.
Hidden gem in Alameda! Or maybe itâs not a hidden gem, and everyone knows this place. Regardless, all the dishes that we ordered were really good.
- Basil fried rice (super fragrant)
- BBQ lemongrass pork ribs (fall off the bone tender)
- Stuffed c
My partner and I stopped in here for a light dinner. We had a few cocktails and tried the charcuterie board and Margarita flatbread pizza. We really enjoyed everything we tried and had an amazing night. We will definitely be coming back here for date
Great variety of local beers on tap ranging from juicy IPAs to malt-forward stouts, all made with Admiral Maltings' malted grain. They even had local whiskies made with their malts, (will have to try those next time), and they offer tours of their fa
This place is WELL worth the trek.
The whole area is ripe for improvement, but Faction has done an incredible job taking the lil slice of Alameda and delivering a view to doe for and delicious beers.
Nice and cool area with the breeze from the bay air. Perfect place for large and small dogs. Pretty bustling on the weekends with so many pups playing. There's always a trashcan within and reach to drop off the dookies.
If youâre in the East Bay and have a thing for ice cream, this is your spot. Itâs where I find the most unique flavors, like Filipino Calamansi and the standout Dan Tat, which is essentially Chinese egg custard turned into ice cream. Itâs perfe
Small but full of engaging exhibit. Marc, the volunteer outside greeting and welcoming guests, was friendly & shared his knowledge of the area & the wildlife that live in it. We visited with our 2 kids on a Saturday afternoon and was able to see the
