It really is a flavor from Mexico. Super welcoming! Interacted with us and my children. Food with so good. I rarely eat leftovers because the flavors do not keep sometimes and I can’t say the same about this place! Would definitely return if we’re ever in the neighborhood. Thank you again!
Amazing food ...very authentic. The guacamole blew me away . I can't say enough about the Chef and his culinary talents ..it was everything Mexican food should be without having to go to Mexico. The hostess was brave enough to sing a few songs and while they were in Spanish ( I know maybe 3 words Taco being one of them) just the essence of the songs put a smile on my face . I highly recommend Hidalgo it's definitely a good place to spend a Friday night or any night for that matter . ( I'm picking up some for dinner Tomorrow and my mouth is watering already ). SUPER LEGIT, BYOB Mexican spot in Media. it is a must try, Flavor is truly incredible, the menu and the cooking is 100% Mexican (no tex-mex!). I am a native and this spot truly deliver like if i were eating back in Mexico. Highly recommend it. Enchiladas and Chicken Hidalgo are incredibly delicious, the Guacamole is also outstanding.
The best Mexican restaurant in Media PA, hands down! Warm, friendly and authentic. And if you are lucky the owner will serenade you with her traditional Mexican ballads and love songs. Don't miss it!
Sometimes posting is an absolute joy due to the experience... and sometimes I do it reluctantly. Let me be honest. I enjoyed everything about this early dinner and hope no one goes during the coveted time frame I did. This way I can feel like it was (and will be) solely ours - what a jerkface huh?

Every time I go to Hidalgo it is an amazing experience. The food is not the typical Mexican street fare — they serve authentic cuisine from the small towns of Mexico — everything from red snapper baked in plantain leaves, to beef tips cooked in salsa, to cactus salad, to go-to’s like fajitas and burritos. Whatever you order, you will not be disappointed. They also make huge BYOT (tequila) margaritas, served in quart sized homemade mugs, and are the best I have ever had (and run under $8!!)
If you come any evening between Wednesday and Saturday, you are likely to be serenaded by Solidad, who used to be part of a traveling mariachi band, and there is also a good chance that her husband, Enrique (the chef), will greet you at the end of your meal wearing a Mexican wrestling mask. Every time I visit Hidalgo I find myself leaving with a full stomach and an even fuller heart. Make sure you visit if you’re in the area, you will not be disappointed!
The best Mexican food in all of Media and the surrounding area!!! The food is good, portions are generous, homemade margarita mix is delish (you bring your own tequila!) and the family that owns it, including the chef, are amazing people!! Highly recommend!!
MENU PRICING IS NOT CORRECT!
Food is good, but very slow service. It took over an hour and a half to get my food.
I ordered a Fajita and a Mexican soda and which was supposed to come out to 17.95, but instead charged me 26.95. The menu stated the fajita's were $15.95 and the Mexican soda was $2. This wasn't the lunch menu, it was the dinner menu. They stated they haven't been able to update their prices because of the pandemic. This was August of 2023.
Will not be coming back.

We came during down time which was between 3pm. As an cook and Asian individual, I was very impressed with the flavors offered here at Thai Spice. Alot of place tone down the flavors to appease less Asian palates but Thai spice does not do that. Eve
