Hickory West Inn - Motel in Hickory Hills - 8600 95th St, USA

This place is extremely creepy . I was staying In a downstairs unit and if you notice there is a door on the wall directly across from the door you use to enter the room. ANYWAYS , one night I was staying there and we heard a creak in the floor ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT DOOR . They definitely got caught because we were both alarmed. It was very creepy. So , we started shouting at them and then trying to shine our flashlight under the door and the hallway didn’t have any lights on . How creepy is that . This was a quite few years ago , when they used to have all those dolls behind the glass at the front desk . I’m not sure if they have changed their decor since then but that was also creepy to have multiple rows of dolls sitting on a shelf . I just thought people deserved a forewarning .

I have gotten a room here a few dozen times and have had many different types of rooms. The regular rooms r good enough n never found anything disgusting or had complaints about hearing any staff or issues with any other guests. The A/C units in many of the rooms are barely working but i believe most have been replaced. The desk staff for years was always HORRIBLE, that is until the last time i was there Cynthia was at the desk n was greatly polite, helpful, and refreshing! If u are lucky enough to get one of the cool updated rooms n happen to deal with Cynthia u will have a good stay. Even the older rooms seeve their purpose. Please fix the clarity /static on the adult channel tho, its been like that for years!

This place does not deserve a star at all. If the owner is the one at the front desk, she should not have a business at all. A business is to be polite and know how to treat others with respect. That lady is extremely rude and has no respect. I called to ask on the fair of a night stay and she answered with a nasty attitude asking “WHAT” then after she told me the price she hung up on me without letting me ask anything else. I called back and told her she hung up on me, very reluctantly she said “I SAID IT WHAT DO YOU WANT” i told her i wanted to know the amount of beds in the fair price. My father got upset of the way she was talking to me and asked her if she speaked spanish….She continued to yell at him saying No and calling him a PENDEJO. which means stupid. This lady does not deserve to ruin this business, please somebody handle this lady because this is not the first review to state how rude she is. She has no manners, never will i be interested in this motel again. and i will make sure to let my very big family about this. this motel is going to rot because of this lady.

rude staff. lied on the phone about rates. called and they claimed it was 80$ for a 4 hour stay in the whirlpool suite. Ended up being $125 . Bit my tongue but the manager yelled at my partner and i for water being on the floor. Why would you put carpet next to a hot tub and expect it to not get wet? I apologized and said “I’m sorry I tried to press the towels into it to get out what I can” and she said “YOU WANNA GO CLEAN IT?” Was a good stay, she spoiled it. She said “we’re going to have to rip out the entire carpet” ? Very odd considering there’s another review on here about her saying the exact same thing. I used to clean carpets, that’s not necessary. Every hotel usually has a water suction vacuum. Haven’t been charged any extra fees yet but Wont be coming back. Not to mention we could hear the staff talking to each other on the other side of the wall. Not very romantic. Don’t recommend, find some where else.

Overall 1 star because BED BUGS. The late night/early morning service was awful - rude & unwelcoming. The afternoon service was great - very kind and accommodating. WILL NEVER GO BACK because of the bed bugs. We were both bit up everywhere, horribly.

They are rude asl the rooms stink are dirty and they have bed bugs and the ac barely works and they lie about prices I would never come here save your time this place is a complete dump

Charming & somewhat unique as far as motels are (with its smooth jazz playing outside), & tucked away right off 95th St in Hickory Hills. VERY reasonable prices, and the rooms are always clean. The TV channels are pretty limited though. My only gripe is the Asian women working the front desk. At first I she seemed very sweet & accommodating...true until she finds something not to like about you. After staying there a few times during a couple month span, she told me that I never bring the room key back in the morning. I always bring the key back, especially since it's not worth loosing $3 that they request as calaterel in case one looses it or doesn't return it. The hispanic woman who works evenings seems to just make up her own rates & rules. She was never very nice from the get go. All in all, it's a good motel, with better rates than other places within a 5 - 10 mile radius of the area.

My boyfriend and I got the basic 4 hour room for $36. Decent for the price. The carpets really need to be cleaned. Toilet seat was green they could use some updating, chairs in room have stains and there was a random stain on sheet. Overall it was alright though, it served it's purpose.
