Hickory Tavern - American restaurant in Wesley Chapel - 6400 Weddington Rd Suite H, USA

Order was a Ribeye Sandwich and a Chicken Wafflewich. Steak was a thin but fairly large, and a little too fatty for me. Super happy they have tater tots for sides! Boyfriend got the chicken wafflewich, the chicken was very delicious! Service was decent, although there was a large group of us!

We have been going to this Hickory Tavern for years but recent experiences have been awful. Since they changed the menu the kitchen is always backed and the food is awful. Last night we waited over an hour at our table for food and today we ordered a to go order. The salmon is horribly spiced and half of it was raw ( picture attached)

Food was okay. If you are blessed with good genes and don’t look your age, they want to see you birth certificate. I took my employees to dinner after work, try to get a beer, manager straight up told me, my id was fake, and she didn't believe that I’m 31….. so I’ll be going back be petty and show her my passport.

We had a party of 12. We were seated quickly. They took her food and drink orders almost immediately. Everything came out in a timely manner and they managed to get everyone's order correct. All in all I would eat here again.

I had a less than satisfying experience at Hickory Tavern. The Coke lacked syrup, the sesame seed bun was messy, tater tots were unappetizing, me and two people in my party got sick. The brownie lacked ice cream, and no one asked about a refill. Overall, not the best dining experience.

I'm just done with all Hickory taverns but the Wesley chapel one I gave to many chances. A month ago ordered to go and went in to get it. The to go girl was to busy flirting and socializing to get my order that was already out. She even asked me, told me she would check on it and as I am standing there proceeds to flirt with the 2 guys sitting at the bar then go hug and talk to someone else. I finally got the bartenders attention to get my food. Now tonight it took 45 mins for our wing order and we asked for extra sauce. My husband checked before he left only to have extra sauce for his wings not mine and it took 15 minutes for them to get him one. Poor service is just unreal. We won't be back. If you want good wings without the wait try Bisontes. He would've already been home and they always sauce their wings well.

When we first walked in the hostess was looking at us like we was lost or didn't belong in there. It was around 1ish they had a nice amount of people(white)in there eating. We sat down & Andres the waiter came to the table he was very nice ,friendly, helpful & just super sweet. We ordered it took abt 20mins(normal time) to get our food. We enjoyed the food everything was good & nice and hot. As we was sitting there eating I noticed a manager (Vincent)walking around greeting(white)people asking was everything ok, how was the food etc. He walked straight passed our table stood behind us never said a word to us. When Andres came to the table I asked what was Vincent name. I made a statement to my coworkers that I do reviews all the time and how many views I have received, over 10,000. And then Vincent stepped up to our table and asked if everything was ok. We nodded yes and continued to converse. I gave a 5 star bc the food & Andres deserve it.

6/27/23 Why one star if the service and food was great? First, our server Anna was awesome. Not only a sweetheart but really working hard all night, seemingly by herself. Here’s the negative part. The manager “Erin” (last name I’ll withhold to be nice) is in the wrong business where your job is to properly service the customer. That’s not what Erin did. My wife and I ordered 2 OMB Captain Jack draft beers, 16 oz. They got to our table, and with 2 sips, we knew both were flat. It’s ok, it happens. So my wife took them to the bar to switch them out for something else. ERIN intercepts my wife at the bar and asks what’s up. My wife politely says “these are flat, so we’d like to order something else.” So Erin takes both glasses, and in front of people at the bar, proceeds to berate my wife and tries to convince her the beer isn’t flat. We’re both grown adults in our 40’s and 50’s and Erin thinks she can school us on the deep science of carbonation. Erin takes a straw and swirls it in the beer glass and says “I see bubbles, they aren’t flat. Just pour her another one” This so-called hospitality manager Erin is arguing with my wife over 2 flat untouched draft beers. My wife (already embarrassed and now flabbergasted) says “if it’s the same keg, I don’t want it. We want to order something different” So she asks the bartender for 2 other beers, which we eventually get, and they were not flat. Corporate should know about this woman, ERIN who was working the Wesley Chapel store. She clearly needs a refresher course on pleasing her patrons, with a smile. Not a ridiculous public debate about 2 pints of $3 dollar draft beers. Hey ERIN, here’s a pic of the Samuel Adams they brought me. THIS is not a flat beer, it has a HEAD. Understand?
