Wanted to try the new refresh Hickory taven out. Was really good! Friendly staff, food was great. Plenty of tvs and entertainment. Overall great experience, will go again.

Carry out order. Wings were burnt…to a crisp. Not even edible. This is not the first bad experience I’d had with the carry out food. Previous poor experiences were compensated with a gift card and a request to ‘please give us another try’. Well I did. I do not have the time or energy to drive all the way back to your restaurant again to show you the evidence of your incompetence. Who looked at these burnt wings and thought it was acceptable to serve them to a customer? This will be the last time I am a patron of Hickory Tavern. Also, this is the reason why you should never give a gratuity on a carry out order from this restaurant. If Hickory Tavern is striving to give their customers a ‘craveable food experience’ then they are sadly falling short of their goal. Read their review responses here. Biggest, juiciest wings in Mooresville!! We were greeted and seated immediately even on a busier Saturday evening. Caden, our server, was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and accurate with our order. 3-Stars on the "Food" rating was because the fries came out cold and soggy, as well as the drinks from the bar tasted watered down with the shaved ice being used instead of cubed ice. The atmosphere got 4-stars because the men's bathroom did not have any napkins or paper towels available. All in all, it was a great dinner and just wasn't to reiterate how wonderful the wings were!

Did call ahead for 6pm this afternoon for 10 people. When we arrived there was a mishap and someone had been sat at our table. The manager immediately apologized and accommodated us within five minutes. Our server was great but the kitchen had gotten backed up with to go orders and dine in orders. Once our food come out it was fresh and good. Then the manager came out and apologized for the wait and only charged us for 1 appetizer and 1 drink for the entire table of 10. That is service and we know sometimes places get swamped. The manager took care of us because we were patient and didn’t get hostile. We will go back if in the area!

The food was good and so was the service. The atmosphere is great, especially if you're looking to catch the big game. I'd definitely return when in the area.

2 of us came in at 815 tonight, Saturday, January 6th. Not very busy, 2 large groups. We were seated quickly but waited 15 minutes only to leave and find somewhere else to eat. Every member of the wait staff walked by and none of them acknowledged us, so we left. Usually have good service there but tonight was now one of those occasions.

I had an unpleasant experience Friday, 1/5/24 with one of the managers on duty. It was documented in my previous review. I was surprisingly contacted by the Regional manager, Nicole today to offer her apologies and to make amends. I truly appreciate her righting a wrong by one of her staff. She, and the server Madison displayed excellent customer service in this situation. Thank you!

Perfect pour and delivery on my Guinness, still churning when she brought it instead of letting it sit on the bar. Buffalo tacos were very tasty, sauce has decent kick to it. The only thing that could have been better was the amount of chips. Wait staff was amazing and checked in with me before, after delivery twice to make sure everything was good or if I needed another drink. Kudos Hickory Tavern.
