Just left from having an incredible experience at this location ,this quiet evening we were welcomed by Omar and blown away by his hospitality and ridiculous Shirley temple making skills !!!Will definitely be coming back to this Hickory again and again !!!Thank you so much .(the food was also criminally delicious)
We had another great meal with our server, Mattie! He always makes sure that we have plenty to drink and lots of hot food. Now he even knows what we like and keeps us well taken care of every visit. He’s an awesome conversationalist and takes time to get to know us. We look forward to going back next week! Excellent restaurant with manager, Omar!
I just left the restaurant and from start to finish it was an amazing experience. The young gentleman host was very sweet and sat us immediately and within 40 seconds we were greeted y the most amazing server I think I've ever had(Kat). She knew the menu so well and helped me find something with my dietary restrictions. She was attentive and kept our drinks refilled(I drink A LOT of tea)The food was fantastic! I did the salad builder and was able to get what I wanted. The salad was so big that I got a box to take home. I accidentally left the box on the table and Kat came running out after us with my box! That's above and beyond. Great food, great atmosphere, great service! We will definitely be making this a regular lunch spot. Thank you!
I went for lunch today and my waitress (Kat) was so sweet and she really knew the menu. They recently changed it and took off my favorite sandwich so I had to find something new. She was very patient with me and helped me decide on the freedom burger. The sauce is so good! I had the brussels as my side and they are out of this world. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Not too mention how fast the food came out! Definitely visit this place for lunch if you get a chance.
The GM, Omar, was so personable and friendly. He greeted us and made sure our restaurant experience was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect for a hot meal, cold beer, and numerous TVs to watch your favorite sport.
We were greeted immediately when we walk into the restaurant by Omar, the manager. He is an excellent manager!! Omar, as well as our waiter, provided fantastic customer service. I would highly recommend this Hickory Tavern and will be going back again soon.

Seated myself at the bar on an uncrowded Thursday night. Noticed the bar had not been cleaned, but thought maybe bartender (who is there full time) had not had a chance to get to. No big deal. 3 people at the whole bar. Bartender ignored me while talking to his regulars for 10 minutes. I finally got up and walked out. Your restaurant is dying because of bad service, not because of new options around you. I want to be a customer, but I don’t know why you don’t seem to care. Watching the customer levels continue to decline…..

9/1/2023 stopped here for lunch, apparently this place has been around a while, since 1933. This place got packed quickly during lunch. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were delicious as well as sweet potato fries. The waitress was really polite
