Hiawatha Lodge & Resort - Lodge in Eagle River - 1982 US-45, USA

We stayed at the Hiawatha last year and had a good experience, this year was a total 360°. They offer a continental breakfast, but they don't have it open till after 8am. It's not fisherman friendly ,even though they know there is a fishing tournement occuring.The worker behind the counter told us that the owners of the hotel are looking to get rid of it anyway due to people complaining about the hours and she told us there is a kwik trip down the road. I wasent thrilled with that since they did raise the room rates as well. They also offer power hook up for boats but over half of them don't work. When we brought that up to the front desk we got the "too many people complain" so the owners are gonna stop offering that as well. My opinion is if it dont work all the time then don't advertise it. Also the last two nights of our stay the pirate bar next store had live music from 9pm the am hours . You could hear the music all night. This place was awesome last year but unfortunately we will not be returning due to the increased rates and the experience we had this time.

I stayed here roughly a month ago (I'm wearing their shirt as I am writing this) This motel is a hidden gem of Eagle River! The staff including the owner/manager are all friendly, they have free breakfast available for a few hours in the morning as well as a ground level bridge that connects to a neighboring Restaurant (not affiliated with the lodge) I have property willed to me as well as family one town over from Eagle River, and I would totally 10/10 book here again!

We stayed at the Hiawatha for a snowmobile trip. Great place! Easy parking with a trailer, rooms are accessible from outside, trails are right out front, 2 bars right next door with great menus and friendly staff. It really couldn't be anymore convenient. Renee at the Hiawatha is outstanding! Extremely friendly. Will most definitely be back. Thank you Renee for a great experience.

Great place to stay while in the area. Nice spacious rooms, great view, and a very reasonable price.

I brought my 90 year old parents to the Hiawatha Lodge for our family reunion. We had the best time ever! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. My parents loved helping themselves to the breakfast sandwiches and fresh fruit and coffee. We could not have asked for a better breakfast! The eating area was big enough for everyone to sit together. The manager went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She even called me to tell me that my mom left her phone charger in the mail, and she would mail it to her. I would highly recommend this lodge for families of any age! Our family of 4 had a great stay. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. We also rented the pontoon and it was a very easy and smooth process. The location on the lake is amazing and close to several restaurants.

We had a 3 night stay here and we really enjoyed it. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the staff was great! We will be going back!

We recently stayed for 2 nights. The bed was comfortable. I know the bedspread was probably clean but it looked the same as the pictures show on this site from years ago. We had a lakeside view so it was nice to sit outside in the morning to drink our coffee. The breakfast area could have used more lighting-seemed dark to me. Continental breakfast was simple....breakfast sandwiches you could heat up, string cheese, apples, wrapped banana bread (not homemade), cookie (wrapped), yogurt, and English muffins to toast. The English muffins were all packaged together (like you buy them from the store)- package of 18...no tongs to remove your muffin...so who knows how many hands were in that package. There were no spoons for the yogurt and no creamer for the coffee. A small bottle of milk was in that basket. The front desk said someone took all of the creamer and she wasn't sure when they would get more. She opened a drawer for a spoon for me but didn't put more out for others. The breakfast area needs some morning attention. ||Not a hotel complaint but a suggestion for hotel guests ANYWHERE.......when late at night (for me anytime after 10pm) keep your voices DOWN. OMG...a lady was in the room next to us was talking on her phone (cuz no one else answered her that I could hear). She talked loud and for a long time. After hanging up...she made another call and continued. VOICES & TV VOLUME CARRYS............be considerate of others!!!!||I would stay here again for the price....
