Hi-Way Host Motel - Motel in Pasadena - 3474 E Colorado Blvd, USA

I had rented three rooms, but unfortunately, all three turned out to be terrible. None of them had proper lighting, and the smoke detectors were broken. One of the rooms had such a strong tobacco smell that we had to open both windows just to tolerate being inside. The room I stayed in was also unpleasant, with a musty and disgusting odor. The beds were in terrible condition, with burn marks and holes on the sheets and blankets. The sheets were visibly dirty, not just stained, but straight-up dirty. Thankfully, I always carry my own sheets, so I replaced the hotel's sheets with my own. To make matters worse, there was only one towel provided in the bathroom, despite the fact that there were four guests staying for two days. Additionally, the toilet in the bathroom was broken and could only be flushed by removing the top. Unfortunately, I couldn't leave the hotel because it was already midnight when I arrived. Both my kids and the other two families with us were exhausted. One of the other families decided to check out the next day due to the terrible conditions. I chose to stay because it was late and I planned to sleep and leave early in the morning. However, if I had known how awful it would be, I would have never stayed there. This place is definitely not worth the money. They say you get what you pay for, but this place isn't even worth a single penny.

So when I got to the motel to check in they didn't even give you a card with a room number on it they just told you, when I got into my room I noticed how cheap they are they don't have comforters they use a flat sheet and it has holes in it, the TV doesn't work the a/c has a horrible smell to it and the light fixture in the shower is just hanging from the ceiling not exactly safe and not to mention the lack of smoke detectors or sprinklers, the bottom sheet has a bunch of cigarette burn holes in it. They are just like a slumlord. In my room the door has a hole where a peek hole should be but there isn't one. It's also a code violation to not have smoke detectors in the room. I also forgot to mention that the mattress itself has what looks like dried poop on it and large pee colored stains as well after I changed the sheets. For the amount of money they make they can't even replace a nasty mattress.

This was one of the most unprofessional places I have ever stayed at. I was trying to save money with my pops but my God it's a horrible place. It's gross unwashed floors or one towel the two of us were suppose to share. Idk it's not a good place even for the place. I didn't even feel safe leaving my stiff here

I am beyond livid. First, the rooms are not worth the money. Period. Second, I was always under the impression that management had to inform its guests if they were going to have maintenance done and not just enter guests rooms. I was having a cigarette in my car, came back and there he was. I highly recommend people not stay here!

I dropped into town for the Rose Bowl. Even that incredible game and the beautiful parade before it couldn't positively impact this review. Let me start with some positives. The location isn't terrible. It's near public transport, and while it's on a less affluent stretch of Colorado, I never felt unsafe. The service is friendly, from the front-desk to the cleaning staff. The room itself was spacious with a quiet and effective heater. As for the negatives, we all draw a line somewhere, and for me, that line is human feces. To be fair, we found the feces on the toilet seat, but come on. You've got to get that cleaned up. Then there were towels with what appeared to be motor oil-like grease stains on them and also a piece of chewed gum in the tray that held the mini soap and shampoo. If it were just the feces, I'd probably give them another star, but this comprehensive failure in basic cleanliness was unacceptable. The topper? The price for two nights, though adjusted for the Rose Bowl festivities, was well over 230 dollars. Just shameful, ridiculous stuff.

Room was small dirty they left one towel for 2 persons no TV. Services no A/C stuff was rude in the picture on the site looks all nice and new but not even.

Under remodeling, no curtains tvs don't work stains everywhere, spiders everywhere found a bowl of food in the drawers air conditioner filled with dirt not dust dirt not everyday,.. every customer the owner charges different prices like yesterday he charged me 70 $ and charged someone else 90 for the same type of room theyll rip u off

I'm sorry to say that it appeared to be clean but when checked in the room. It did not smell fresh 😒
