I stayed in a twin room. The hostel is very beautiful as it is a large old house with beautiful decorations. I decided to upgrade to a twin room since I wanted to give myself a treat during the Christmas holiday. As its name suggests, it is a room with a twin bed. The room is not that spacious. For instance, I opened my umbrella and there was barely any spare space left in the room. The room has a lamp and a small fan, which is thoughtful. It also has a drawer closet so you can store some of your personal belongings. The twin bed is ... a twin bed. As someone who is used to sleeping in a queen bed, it suffices but leaves something to be desired. I slept like a baby though, since the hostel was quite quiet.
The hostel provides free breakfast (which ends at 9am despite what the staff may tell you). Toast, cereals, coffee, the usual stuff. It is located in a convenient location - most tourist attractions are within walking distance, with the exception of the downtown bar area, which might be a longer walk (~30-40 minutes). While Sacramento is certainly no San Francisco, it feels just as if not more expensive. So, given the low price of this hostel, I would recommend this hostel.
I loved my stay here at HI Sacramento Hostel! The entire staff is world class, super-welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The accommodations are so charming and comfortable. I felt at home in my room. I love the fully equipped kitchen and playing a few rounds of pool and Street Fighter down in the game room brought me back to funner days. This place is located near everything too! I walked all over and saw plenty of sights in Midtown, Old-town, and Downtown. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for home away from home at a very reasonable rate!
Basement game room is so dope! Anyone with testosterone would love it it's all 80s retro themed with LED lights, pool, table hockey think, that was broken but still sick, ping pong, arcade games (street fighter, pac man etc), and darts, that were also broken but still sick! The beds are comfy and the room is cool and clean with a picture of David Bowie, at least the one I was in. The breakfast provided is just bagels and English muffins so that's kinda lame but overall great experience so far!
1. You can't eat in the room but the kitchen is closed from 10:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. Ridiculous. You must be hungry by morning.||2. Guests must undress the bed linen themselves and bring it to the reception. I've never experienced anything like this before. What am I paying for?||I don't recommend!!!
Me and my partner checked into HI Sac on Oct 15th, 2023 where we stayed in a private room on the third floor.
First off the staff was wonderful and accommodating. The hotel was secure and safe and they always had a staff memeber in the lobby. Gated parking is available for 8$ a day next to hotel. And the price is unbelievable for such a beautiful mansion style hotel. 100% haunted if you're into that, which we were. Close to the downtown parks and a decent amount of restaurants a street or two away.
What an amazing and historic place to stay. The building is beautiful and so full of history, it felt like stepping back in time! Breakfast included, although the pastries are stale. Rooms are clean, but I was given a stained towel (but it had been washed). Staff are friendly and helpful and there's a cool games room. Location is perfect. Overall we had a great stay!
Super. Beautiful building. Very well maintained. Agreeable atmosphere. Very well organized. Breakfast included. Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean. Safe and secure.|Not a party hostel. Good beds. Good shower. Approximately 5 blocks from the Capitol. Recommended.
Amazing Victorian mansion with lots of cool details. Large communal kitchen and game room. Showers and bathrooms were convenient and everything was super clean.
Pressed is definitely a vibe worth experiencing! They have the best iced coffee, and their food is surprisingly delicious for a coffee shop. It's definitely an unexpected, yet welcome surprise. So far, I love their breakfast burrito, french dip,
Really wonderful experience being a member of this studio. They all know your name, and are really friendly and easy to talk to. I love the challenges and the option to participate at home on Zoom if you're feeling a slight cold or out of town for wo
Amazing facility!!! Top of the notch staff, equipment, technology. Nick and Gabe are the best in the business! Nick is very knowledgeable and he and his staff will go over and beyond to help your needs. If you are thinking about it, do it! You wonâ
Wow! Visiting town for a couple days and stumbled across this studio, and man am I glad I did. One of the most creative vinyasa flows Iâve ever been led through! Clearly a lot of regulars and even so the energy was very welcoming and friendly. I wo
This shop is under new management. Joe is a great guy. Iâm looking forward to watching his future success at his most recent venture here in Sacramento. As another recent Sacramento transplant, Iâm happy to find a new Scuba community here. I hope
Just attended a Barbell Medicine seminar this past weekend at this gym. This is Alan Thrallâs gym, who Iâve watched his fun/educational videos on YouTube for years. The place is beyond expectations. If I lived anywhere close to Sacramento, it wou
Joseph was very kind and took the time to explain what he would do with each stretch. I enjoyed him very much. He was quite polite and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I was a little too strong for him. He was not expecting me to be as strong . I would
