This is a nice intimate theater. I have been to a few small cast shows. There is now a bad seat in the house, and you really feel like you are part of the show.
The shows are a wonderful sharing of local talent.
I would now that it is warm inside, not uncomfortable, but dress knowing that.
A really great place to see some local performers. We prefer a couple rows back to see down onto the stage, but over all any seat is great.
Great place to see a play or musical. Audience seating same level as actors. Bandstand is a wonderful story of real life experience returning from war. Very friendly ushers. 9 to 5 playing to July 30, 2023. Great raffle prizes.
We saw the musical Bandstand at the Hershey Area Playhouse. It's a very nice small theater. The show was amazing and the actors were fantastic as was the pit band. Never been there before so I don't know what we thought - maybe a pleasant way to spend a Saturday evening - but we were truly blown away by the quality of the whole performance. We will definitely go back and support this theater whenever we are in the area again. Highly recommend!

Playhouse is smaller than I thought. Lots of steps in the building to get to the theater. Lift was in high demand.
The theater is an intimate setting because it is small. Every seat is a good seat, stadium fashion. The quality of the performance is outstanding at The Secret Garden. It is a difficult score but the voices were haunting and passionate in accordance with the show. I went there with seven grandchildren who all enjoyed the show.
