Hermosa Creek Grill - American restaurant in Durango - 32223 US-550, USA

This little cafe is off the beaten path and doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t let that keep you from eating here! The food is delicious! There are several parking spaces, they have outside seating and dogs are allowed! The mountain views all around are gorgeous so I recommend sitting outside if weather permits. The atmosphere is homey and laidback. Everything is homemade country kitchen style. Due to this you should expect a little bit of a wait to get your plates, but nothing too crazy long. All the food is feel-good comfort food so come hungry! All of the waitresses were friendly and cheery. Ours had great recommendations. She even asked if we wanted to order anything for our dog lol. We ordered her a plain pancake and it was brought out on its own plate with a bowl of water. House coffee was good and HerMosa mimosas was strong and tasty. My pancakes and sausage were yummy and just what I needed to fuel up on before going hiking. I had initially ordered a side of hash browns, but they never came to our table. We were not charged for them and I ended up having enough food to eat anyways. My husband’s burrito was savory and huge! We probably could have split a burrito and the sides. We got a cinnamon roll to-go and ate it later. It tasted like it was made with sourdough and was just okay - definitely not our favorite. Overall, we would eat here again!

We stopped here on our way out of town and the food was delicious. Don't shy away from anything with the green chili sauce in it or on it. Best grits ever and I'm not a grits fan! Try the green chili cheese grits! I wish I would have brought some home with me. If I were a local this would be my breakfast go to.

Outdoor mountain view dining. Not fancy but amazing food. Pet friendly in the outdoor dining. This breakfast was the best breakfast in and around Durango. I will definitely be back. Had the bacon breakfast tacos with added grilled veggies and a fruit cup.

Passing through Durango and so glad we made a stop here. Breakfast was phenomenal! Benedict eggs were delicious 🤤 portions are fair for the price. Server was friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Highly recommend!

Wow. Breakfast was amazing! Service was great, very friendly and attentive despite it being busy on Independence Day. Will be returning while I stay in Durango.

Hermosa Creek Grill is Amazing! Great little breakfast & lunch joint with outside seating to stare at the beautiful mountains & enjoying your delicious food. Staff was on point & the owner, Ryan came out to chat with us. I highly recommend this place if you get a chance to eat here or visit Durango.

The sign says it’s worth the wait. And waiting is what we did. Waited to sit while looking at empty tables. Waited a really long time for my coffee. Had to go get my own refill. Coffee should be on the table pretty darn quick at a breakfast joint—at least I’ve been conditioned to believe so. My wife’s bagel was burnt. All four of us thought the food was just okay. I was told this place is always busy on the weekends, so that is not a valid excuse for the slow service.

Omg! As promised these meals or grab and goes to keep you full through the day and very affordable. The staff there were very friendly and and keep a very and consistently aware dialog well keeping guess needs taken care of. I feel that is important since they are a most stop and eat at place on your way up beautiful San Juan mountain or to the resort Purgatory. The girls showed there knowledge in the area and keep my eating experience well with the stop. They are busy around 10 and slow down after 11. Than around noon things pick up as the cashier shared with me. So if your not planning on sitting and dinning, i recommend you call your order in in advance for the quick stop and go.
