Giving three stars for my visit today (12/1). 1 star because the pulled pork and green beans were cooked well and had good texture. 2 stars for the staff (particularly the gentleman working the register right by the front door and the blonde haired female who took my order, both were super nice!). But... I'm deducting two stars because the pork was SO salty and the green beans were SO NOT salty. I mixed them together after a while and the salt was more balanced, but really need to work on seasonings. I really don't know how they ended up with that much salt on the pork, crazy. And it seems like they didn't even put any salt in the green beans.

Let me just start off by saying I really used to enjoy Herman’s bbq I worked there during my college days there WAS pride in serving great quality food and in a timely fashion. today I visited called ahead prior to going on my lunch break , to arrive employees just looking around moving slowly sitting twiddling their thumbs and just not being productive or any rush to get customers serviced no respect for others time… still waited about 15-20 mins for them to prepare my food , simple order 2 house salads with ham and turkey and the chop meat sandwich special ….. meats for the salad DRY could tell it was cooked days prior and just reheated or sat in a warmer I shouldn’t be choking on chewed food , chopped meat on my sandwich was cold of course I didn’t find this out until I got back to work and had 5 mins left out of my 30 min lunch to eat don’t bother wasting hard earned money here

11/16/23 @ 1:30- Turkey was good, fries alright, brisket was trash and left it on the plate. Overcooked, dry, burnt, roast beef jerky. I’ve been to bbq joints all over the country and this was by far the worst I’ve ever been served. Took a picture of it to post and send to management.

Absolutely terrible food. Smoked meats should not taste like gas. The hot sausage was cold on the inside. The potato salad had uncooked basically raw potatoes. The cheesy potatoes were so coated in this orange oil I couldn't eat it. Lunch rush had them struggling. Multiple people mad at the counter and leaving with full plates on their tables. It's sad yall have a nice place it's a shame you don't properly train people and supervise them. The Dom guy was working hard everyone else was twiddling their thumbs. Paid $18 bucks to most likely get sick. Very unfortunate hopefully yall can do better.

I had originally given this location 4 stars... As of my last four visits I am dropping it to 2 stars. What is the point of having a barbecue place that is constantly out of barbecue. I go in for ribs and they don't have any ready to go. I asked for 2 lb of burnt ends which they sell in one pound increments and they don't have any. I asked for a total of four different items and they did not have any of them. If you are not going to have the food that you serve... Close your doors and go back to the way you were.

Went in to purchase a brisket l. The meat counter staff was great! As they always are! Any time I’m there everyone is so helpful!

You looking for Horseradish & the stores have zero fresh root? Herman's has "Pure Horseradish" in a jar at a reasonable price!

EDIT: I rate the meat at 4 out of 5. We order brisket and sausage by the pound for a party. The brisket was tender and delicious. Most importantly, it was not at all fatty. The smoked sausage was delicious and perfectly smokey. My Polish mother-in-law scoffed when I told her it was kielbasa, but it passed my southern need for smokey flavor. Most at our party paired the meat with Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, and we all agreed that it was far better than the house BBQ sauce. The sauce and beans are what bring the overall rating down. But, if you’re buying meat by the pound, I would recommend Herman’s. Original review: I ordered the brisket sandwich with baked beans. The meat was very appropriately smokey and tender, which I enjoyed. The BBQ sauce was—in my opinion—horrid. If you enjoy tomato-ey and vinegar-ey BBQ sauce, you would really enjoy this BBQ sauce—it just wasn't for me. The beans were also very tomato-ey. However, the BBQ sauce was palatable when paired with the meat—truly, the meat did all the work here. All in all, I can absolutely see how people like this BBQ joint, especially because the meat was very good and tender. The BBQ sauce was just a huge miss for me.
