Dropped by on a Saturday, not expecting much and not expecting to spend a lot of time here. I was wrong! We walked in and looked around at the beautiful park and buildings then we entered the model train rooms. I was blown away by all the trains and incredibly detailed track. Rick, a member of the model train club, showed us around and helped us complete the scavenger hunt within the track. I truly had so much fun and we ended up staying for about 2 hours looking at everything!
Im glad I found this model train club now I can start running all of my ho scale model trains after training on there layout is complete. It's also very peaceful great place to visit.
Great place to see Oceanside's history and learn about where it all started. My Grandkids love stopping by here they love the model train area and seeing that large display of HO trains they love how it looks like a little San Diego Country. Also, like the old building school and church.
Today, Dec-16-22 most of it was closed. Well actually all of it was closed however, the curator of the hobby train museum saw us crying on the bench and asked if we wanted to check out the museum which is normally open only Saturday. Ok, no crying and no bench but we did get to see the extensive train displays covering 2 rooms. Check the photos. Saved the day he did. Thanks Terry.
Quaint little old timey Village. It is considered under our Parks Dept. They accept donations for small repairs, painting, and upkeep because the city doesn't provide anything but a major issue contribution. That may stop one day, so enjoy this little village while you can. I have heard of people getting married there. What a great place for that. I haven't been in a little while, so I'm not sure if they still allow that, but you can call and ask. I think little ones will be thrilled with a visit here.
The train museum was amazingly fun for the whole family. Volunteers were very nice and knowledgeable.
Clean place, however don't bother to come on Wednesday they say open but everything was closed. Only one building was open.
It’s a mini Old Town, w/out staff to man the buildings except for the Train Museum only on Saturdays. It’s a crying shame that the buildings can’t be open more. If you read this, please volunteer!
Great restrooms, and saloon, too!

Nice park for small children. It's big enough to entertain the kids for an hour or so. Multiple swings and jungle gyms. There are also large fields of grass which are well maintained.

Brown Cup Cafe is an amazing gem that has the best Chai Latte in Oceanside hands down! Coupled with the Build You Own Breakfast sandwich and this spot is a win WIN for dine-in or grab & go.
Everything I ordered for my first time visit at Camp Coffee Company was SO good! It was pricey for the food in my opinion, however, I will never feel bad for paying six dollars for a really good cup of coffee. I would give the atmosphere five stars,
